Also I've been thinking about the bosses. Eggman will be the midboss and I'm considering giving him a partner as well. Metal Sonic's the obvious choice although I kinda wanna use Nack as his partner since I really like the character and would like to see him get brought back

For main boss, maybe Death Adder from Golden Axe

DREAMCAST ERA - Windy Valley

I imagine a level with TVs flashing random Sega Saturn games from a game store, and on the side walk, where the combatants fight, the final boss slowly makes his way into the arena, Sega Saturn on his back, and all you hear through the battle is this...

I even had this idea for a hyper that's similar to Hulk's hyper where he jumps up and lands down with a boulder in his arms. Only instead of a boulder, it's a Saturn.

Love it! Of course he'll need a Hyper where he kicks a homerun through the opponent, or perhaps one where he summons his mini-clones to stampede the enemy.

Funny enough I just thought of a hyper where he summons the mini Segatas. I'm more thinking the homerun kick could be a special than a hyper but we'll decide that later.

I also wanna incorporate the bit where he rapid punches the Saturn controller somewhere in the moveset

Maybe a K'-esque special? He could throw the controller, and, if it hits an unguarded opponent, stick to them. The Segata Sanshiro rushes over, Raging Ranbu beatdown initiates, and the final punch breaks the control and sends the opponent flying.

And for a lvl 3 hyper, he can ride the missile from his final commercial, but have it go towards the opponent and jump off at the last second.

Oh and for his throws, he tosses the opponent behind him and he/she spontaneously explodes twice

Maybe that should be an attack throw? I ACTUALLY think it might be a bit of overkill to see that every time he grabs you.

OVERKILL IS THE POINT OF SEGATA SANSHIRO!!!! You got to go over the top! The spiritual embodiment of a video game system should be extreme. You could also give him attacked based on the most popular Sega Saturn titles; like he could maybe summon a dragon from Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Maybe you can have him summon zombies from The House of the Dead with each attack level (LP, MP, HP) summoning a different zombie that does something unique.
