Might be a necro, but, I as might as well update on my Steam stuff. :-??
Just got a whole bunch of games for Steam on January 2nd thanks to the way Steam handles sales, which is pretty weird. Got the Half-Life Anthology for about $2.00, which included Half-life 1, HL1: Blue Shift, HL1: Opposing Force, and Team Fortress Classic. I also got Day of Defeat, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch for about $1 each, and Poker Night at the Inventory for free from one of those sites where you do surveys for points. My thoughts? "Today is a good day." But yeah, it's best to get games on Steam when they're doing sales, you can get a great deal from them.

Hehe.. Since last June I've gotten Bioshock 1 & 2, DiRT 2, Far Cry 2, Oddworld Pack, Sniper Ghost Warrior, Wings of Prey, Trials 2 HD, Zombie Driver, Doom II: Hell on Earth, FUEL, Counter Strike: Source, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Audiosurf, Borderlands, and on the 2nd I got Super Meat Boy.

Super Meat Boy, World of Goo, and Zombie Driver are definitely games you want to get if you like playing those newgrounds and miniclip games. They feel a lot like them but obviously more worked on and thought out.

I did get TF2, but I haven't played it in like... months.. and I really cant believe they keep updating it every 5 seconds.. it gets annoying sometimes..

I'm on Steam often, feel free to add me.
"MiDSinister"

I love Lost Planet 2, not a pro at it or anything. I didn't even play the first game..
but unfortunately nobody is ever online, and none of my friends have it. So yeah, someone play with me pretty please! ;*))

Also, Worms Reloaded is pretty damn fun..although I wish Worms 4 Mayhem was on Steam as well.

Well, I guess it's worth noting that Portal is currently free until Sept 20th 2011, so if you don't own the game, now's the time to act.

I have no idea why this topic wasn't stickied before. I buy a lot of my games via steam, due to their epic winning in the sales department... when they have big sales usually anyways...

I agree completely.  I bought the Potato Sack, which was a huge deal for including Super Meat Boy, The Ball, Killing Floor, Amnesia, Audiosurf, and like eight other games that are usually $10 - $20 for just $40 bundled together.

Also, anyone try out the Steam Trading feature?  I traded my TF2 Bill's Hat for Borderlands GOTY.

Super Meat Boy is A LOT of fun. I even bought the soundtrack from the creator's website. I have almost every game that you got but The Ball.. but I have many more main games like DiRT 2, 3.. Bioshock, Back to the Future, all them. :)

By the way, you can trade-in game items for actual games now? o_O I'm confused.

After like, what, almost a year of TF2's trading feature being used for trading games for items, Valve finally decided to make a more secure and official method.  Before that, you would actually open TF2 to trade with them and hope that each other would live up to the deal or use a middleman.

But now, you can just trade directly from Steam chat by choosing stuff from your inventory.   It contains games you have as gifts, TF2 items, Spiral Knights items, and Portal 2 items.

You can read more about it here.

@E.M. : But it sounds like you traded an in-game ITEM for an ACTUAL game. That's what you put.

Well, yeah, that's what happened.  I just described it in more detail.  Some guy was trading his extra copy of Borderlands for a TF2 item, which I just happened to have.

I'm still not used to steams trading system, but then again I don't have alot of times to begin with. So is it still possible to trade a TF2 weapon for a game or did they change that?

Steam Autumn sale.  http://store.steampowered.com/

I'd say the highlights for today are:

Duke Nukem Forver: $6.79
Mass Effect series: 75% off
Portal 2: $10.19
Orcs Must Die!: $3.79

And that's just the front page.
