So what are some of yall favorite groups?

I miss The Lox man, Onyx, M.O.P. (before G-Unot!), The Infamous Mobb Deep (before G-Unot!), Crucial Conflict, BlackStarr, The Roots, Jedi Mind Tricks is ok to me...and I'm curious to hear what C.R.S. is about, (Child Rebel Soldier). For those of you who don't know, you got Lupe, Kanye, and Pharell on the same squad...I'm waitin for that.

OH, and then of course there's the Wu-Tang Clan!

U stole the post right out of my keyboard.  Wu-Tang is tops.  The LOX too.  I liked Ruff Ryders when it was just the LOX, DMX, Eve and Swizz Beats.
Also the Lost Boyz.  Mobb Deep and MOP made a big mistake signing wit 50.

There will never be another "Shook Ones" like song from them again.  Prodigy used to be one of my favorite rappers.  Shame

Jin is awesome. Unfortunately, he's not good producing music, only freestyling.
Jin fell off hard.  Serius Jones tore him a new a$$hole.

@MunkyMouf:  Thats a commercial list right there.  Here my fav producers.

Alchemist
Scram Jones
Heatmakerz
Kanye
Just Blaze
Develop
Swizz Beats
Timbaland (is that how u spell it?)
Neo Da Matrix
Pharrell
Dr. Dre

Damn, how did I forget to bring up Jin. Seriously, Jin is way better than Serious Jones. Jin comes back with punchline after punchline. I wan't to see him and Cassidy battle it out, there would never be a winner. Plus, Jin is goofy as hell *lol*. There was a Myspace bulliten saying "Only one will come out on top on 9/11", I clicked it and Kenny Chesney's album popped up in my face  :D

Also, where is RZA on that list?

So what are some of yall favorite groups?

This isn't really in order except the first two.
Wu-Tang Clan
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Ruff Ryders
N.W.A.
Outlaws
Black Star (Talib & Mos Def)
Outkast
Bad Meets Evil (Em & Royce)
Little Brother (there so damn under-rated)

I remember hearing that Jones used pre-written lines. I did watch that battle though.

Yea, I heard that too...and it's possible, but I don't know. It's pretty common nowadays, but he did hit him with some point specific material.

Yeah, that's why I like Cassidy, Jin, & Joe Budden. They always spit from the top, I never once heard then say one of their own bars.

Whoa, need to catch up here......

I heard luda's war with god, T.I. need to stop f---in with dude. :D

Even though I respect 50 as an artist a little more overall than Kanye I have to say Kanye has the better album this time around. Not the 50 isn't capable because I've heard G-Unit mixtapes with one or two sounds that were album-worthy.(better than cutris)

Bone.....that's my boys, but why Bizzy why? ~X(

I think hip hop started dying when artists started dumbing down instead of making you figure out what they were saying. Now the songs that make spins on the radio are ridiculous. <_<|...|

About chamillionaire, he's from around my way. I'm suprised in his success, but I'm happy for him. =D> A few years ago the underground scene in houston was live, Slim Thug, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and Chamillionaire all signed to majors within months of each other. Slim was the standout, we all assumed he would be the most successful. Mike Jones was the: how did he get here? guy. Paul Wall:ditto. Chamillionaire: had flow but he wanted to be Slim so bad. What nobody realized was cham was musically gifted outside of just freestyles.

I hate Houston rappers besides Chamillionaire and Scarface. Chamillionaire is one of my favorite rappers. Oh yeah, can't forget Bun B... everyone else sucks.

My favorite groups were Wu Tang, Bone Thugs, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Seriously, if you couldn't realize by now from my name and sig that I liked Wu Tang, then you might as well put a wire hanger on a stove, let it sit for a while, take it off, and stick it up your butt slow, like *SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS*.
Punctuation and capitalization can make the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse," and, "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."

92% of people have moved onto rap. If you're part of the 8% who thinks rap isn't music, sucks to be you.

Most newer stuff sucks, though.

Sort of, he is uderrated because in the underground he was king here. When he got on he went too commercial, so his 1st national impression is what it is. He changed on us.

yes that list is commercial but I take into fact that most of those producers that I listed have made tracCz for so many other indie artist. Yes they have all that commercial rep but there are too many gems that the mainstream will never hear. Trust me i do my homework with producers just like i do with rappers. I dont just judge offa hit songs.
