well....i played it...and it sheerly is a disappointment...as some posted before there is NO boss lol...i dont know what the hell thats about. if the lack of characters and modes is a way to make DLC, its defiently not right to sell you a half assed game and then re-sell you things that should have came with it.

Mind changer right there.  Ill blow my 60 on somethin else.

i would get it just rip the sprites off of it lol then sell it back. jkjkjk

Games not out yet but there's no way I'm paying $60.00 for a game that feels like it's not finished. All of the moves are missing characters missing and no BOSS what's that all about. I would of liked to see Rugal with some new sprites.

I think SNK/Playmore rushed it. This game had so much potential.

well publishers put dates on things so it's not SNK fault, blame Ignition. Still the game is really good. And if people don't buy this one, don't expect to see a better KOF XIII. I mean think about it, 22 characters are already made, they can re use those sprites, do minor tweaks to animation, add attacks to those, easy work. Then focus on making another 20+ characters for the next game.

Any real SNK fan would buy this just so they can make enough money to make a better one next time around. I mean SNK already has the combat engine down and it's good, so the only thing left to do is tweak and add more characters to an already great system. I mean it did take them a long time to get this game's art down

It's just been shown that there are 3 empty slot in the character usage menu. So we may be seeing some more charaters soon. Hopefully a BOSS. And some more stages.
They have an online store in the main menu so hopefully they do more with ot than just sell t-shirt and other crap.

Ijust got mines from the jump off today for like ten dollars. It is a big letdown and everyone doesn't have their entire moveset or atleast creates the illusion that they're a completed character. If you got a modded box like yours truly, by all means. Everyone else, don't get this sixty dollar demo. wait for them to be mugenized and build your game yourself. I haven't been pissed about a game since Crapon fighting evolution. Capcom got away with selling mugen with that turd LOL!!

hahaha my friend and forum member Akeme played this game for hours and discovered something about this game. This game breaks the boundaries of all fighters in life. You can actually punch and kick fireballs and then press forward, forward to auto canel and run to get near your opponent. that is an insanely broken to the highest degree lol. hahahaha lol. This game imo is officially a piece of S%^$. I will never ever buy this game unless they patch it and add characters. I truly hope that its a glitch lol. Im sorry this made my day. This game deserves to be bashed and thats just one broken thing he figured out with many many many more things. Im sorry for all you KOF owners who are gona take this game seriously and all the loyal KOF fans out there. SNK has F'ed this one up.....sorry for all the lolz but its so funny i cant hide my emotion as i type this.

Thank goodness I spent $35 on a NES with three games instead of KOF XII for $60! I would of been extremely disappointed!

the game is awesome imo, the graphics alone are worth it, the gameplay is great, the characters are really well done, reminds me of kof 95 designs, the only bad thing is the lack of a boss (rugal), the punching and kicking of fireballs isn't really something new, art of fighting had that, if you guys played sf4 for example you'll know that fire balls represent a bad match for some characters lol.
i read somewhere that a black edition is in the making and will include k + mai.

Ah, but will it ever be balanced? I think not, lol.

Yeah, I think I've changed my mind about this game. At first I was really disappointed, but now that I've been playing the game more, I really like it. The fighting system is really good, the graphics are amazing, and even though a lot of favorites are missing, its still a great roster. The online has some issues, but if they ever fix it the game will be a lot better. Critical Counters FTW!

I was told the same thing by 12 ppl in an xbox live party chat. I am glad I didnt rush to get the game. I know of three ppl taking the game back on the same day they purchased it.

I'm sorry, but that's not all that impressive. the animations are kinda stiff too. :/

KOF character sprites were always stiff, which is why many find the game/company un-attractive.

Yeah.. I took hours trying to do combos with the uh.. one Fei-Long looking guy.. (can't remember name.. lol..) I got up to 3 or 4.. that's it... like.. wtf.. that's stupid.. Even in SFIV I can do more even with Dan... lol... I've gotten so used to MUGEN that I thought there would be more special moves.. but I guess not.. lol...

for all the lol you're doing it seems you don't know anything about this game's combat engine, and is where the game shines. The technique you're speaking of is called "Deadlock" It's made to be like a parry. And you still have to time your attack's animation to perform the move. Specails normal can clash and give you the chance to attack again. Nothing to do with being "broken" but it's a game mechanic to add depth to the combat system.

The only reason it's not doing good is.......

people are crying like little girls because their favorite character didn't make it. Get over it! characters get cut in games all the time. King, my favorite didn't make the cut, but i'm not bitching about it, I'm enjoying the game. Look at the whole cast of Garou. All but one character is new. And for redesigned characters, SNK does this all the time, it's nothing new. SNK fans should know this, that's if you're a SNK fan. Robert is a main example, in KOFXI, he was a charge character. Now he's a shoto. Also, it takes SNK a very long time to draw these sprites, it took them 4 years to get what they have now, and fully animated. 2D pixel art is time consuming. Yeah they could have just reused old sprite, but people will still bee-otch, piss and moan.

Second, there's no story, well this game is a dream match, there will be no story. And who in the f**k plays a fighting game for a story??

3rd, which I can agree with, the netcode is terrible. Understandable, but check out Ignition's facebook page, they meet everyday with SNK to have to issue solved. Ignition wan't this game to be good as it can for the fans.

4th, no boss, I really don't have much to say about that. But i'm glad I don't have to put up with a SNK agonizing boss anyway, but I don't focus on single player in a fighter. Only people who suck against human players and or have no friends worry about that single player crap. And especially since this game has no real unlockables why bother.

The game shines where a fighting game should, the damn fighting. And there's no denying that. The game plays smoother and tighter than any KOF game. It easily has the best combat engine.

If you don't like it, don't f**k*** buy it, plain and simple. If you do like it, buy it and enjoy.

wow, you're talking about Kensou, he's got some of the longest and easiest combos. Here's a 17 hitter in the corner..........

This version of KOF is not worth getting period.
the gameplay is very good imo, the downfall is the online play, the online play is very bad and the patch they released broke raiden's hyper against Elizabeth without making any major fixes to the online play, it's getting another online patch in a week or so and the beta testing says it makes the netplay as good as sf4's (i don't know how good sf4 netcode is but i heard it was trash as well)

i prefer games like kof, sf, tekken and soul calibur over the likes of GG, blaze blue, sengoku basara and hokuto no  ken....these later games all play the same and i never really liked their game play.

it's getting another online patch in a week or so and the beta testing says it makes the netplay as good as sf4's (i don't know how good sf4 netcode is but i heard it was trash as well)

Sf4 net play code isnt all that great either, but its way better than kofxii.

oh i didn't mean bb's online play, i was referring to gamplay itself.
i think they are using ggpo netcode for blaze blue, they were going to use ggpo for sf4 as well but the they said that the current consoles processing power couldn't handle the code alongside sf4 cus sf4 uses too much processing power already, they said they are looking for a workaround to optimize sf4 in order to add ggpo in the upcoming sf4:dash (something like sf3 2nd impact)....i think snk is aiming for sf4 online play at least.
