Absolute beginner needs help running SMvC EoH 4.6

My problem is that, once I've downloaded and extracted the .zip file, I try to open it and it shows blank.

I thought it might the MUGEN I downloaded earlier from scruffydragon.com that was somehow interfering, but when I deleted it and all the files that came with it, SMvC EoH still didn't work (but am I on the right path thinking you can't have two MUGENS on one computer?)

I've only been at this for about two days so this is a very elementary question, but is it possible someone can provide a simple tutorial on how to install SMvC EoH?

I've got Windows Vista but don't have Linux.

If this is answered elsewhere I'd appreciate a link to its location.

And just in case this doesn't work out, does anyone know when the version of The Sentry that's supposed to be in the game gets an individual release?
