Here what I'm using here, perfectly:

I've made an .INI called Winmugen.ini on Winmugen folder with:

Quote
[Nitrane MPEG Decoder]
http_buffersize=256
hq=12
httpsave=0
http_prebuffer=82
http_prebuffer_underrun=100
priority=32
8bit=1
downmix=0
downsample=1
bufall_k=32000
Id3FormatString=%1 - %2 - %9 - %7
extension_list=mp3;mp2;MPG;
enable_mms=1
eq_mode=4
allow_sctitles=0
http_save_dir=F:\mugen
[Nullsoft Module Decoder]
cfg_title_format=$if2(%title%,%filename%)[ (%part%)]
savestr=0
priority=20
samplesize=1
nch=2
srate=44100
interp=10
surround=1
voices=96
loopcount=0
playflag=0
fadeout=1000
pansep=128
panrev=0
info_x=0
info_y=0
track=0
fir_WT=6
fir_FC=0.96666
fir_Beta=9.60000

I'm just curious if anyone currently uses this in their setup or if it's the 'norm' now, and if it still works even with High-Res screenpacks, chars, or stages?

Hires has nothing to do with it

Actually, in my initial testing this fix caused the Hi-res Select-Only Hack to behave oddly and crash. This works just fine for any other version of mugen.

To answer GodzFire's question: I don't know if this is the "norm" or not, but I do know plenty of people are running this now. Personally, I think using this fix is totally worth it! The only time my mugen crashes now is if I run out of memory. The game is so much more stable when using this.

I wouldn't doubt it crashing on that or any other particular hack

but sprite resolution in regards to the "screenpack" "char" or "stage" is completely irrelevant and you know that

I have tried all the various methods mentioned but none work. The music still only plays sometimes so it's really not fixed at all but it's great to see someone working on it.  :thumbsup:
