2 help questions for mugen

i need some help on 2 issues i am having.

1-music in stages. it has a habit of freezing up or skipping like a bad record. how do i fix this?

2-"hidden" characters. what happens to a character if i put him/her/it there?

The music problem is a legendary with mugen.  There really is no way to fix it unfortunately.  You could try getting different plugins and using sound files other than mp3s.  Ogg files are supposed to work better specifically. 

If you put a character in a space designated for hidden characters, then that character won't appear on your select screen.  Sometimes that means you can move your cursor off the screen to select them and sometimes it means you can't get them at all, except with randomselect.  They can still show up as CPU in arcade mode though.  Thats why its good for boss characters.

ok, where would i find the plugins for the ogg format in MUGEN? i figure i would need winamp, and a winamp ogg converter plugin.

I think a plugin pack actually comes with the screenpack Capcom Fighting Evolution max by zedzdead.

and yea, you'd need something that can convert your mp3s to ogg format.  If winamp can do that then sure.

i'm sure winamp could. i used to use it to convert spc's to mp3 so i could listen to them on my PSP.
