hey everyone its been awhile since i been on the mugen scene.
anyways i was going through my files, while cleaning out my computer and came across something i was working on.
but ive gotten rusty, if anyone is interested in helping me complete this character i would appreciate it.....if not thats fine to.

thanks, but the sprites still need work and cleaning up...i have a lot of ideas for this character and a lot more sprites i will do,
 if someone will partner (really good coder) up with me to complete him.

Interesting, I am wondering how you are going to make it different than the other "Gouki's" that are around? I do like the new sprite style though.  I like the way the arms are in the screenshot better than the sprite you have pictured below.  Keep them like they are in the screenshot.  Maybe you could base this Gouki more on the SF Comics and not Capcom canon.

im guessing you only have 2 sprites? and isnt one of the stances alpha akuma.... cause i dont understand his name or what he is

i been actually getting pms about this so im gonna answer the question here.
also to the other person who asked me if i have more then 2 sprties.....
yeh i actually have a lot more then 2 sprites..lol...i started this project about a yr and a half ago.
i posted other pics of him as well on the other thread but its been awhile so i guess they took it down.
it doesnt matter for i have completely lost motivation due to conflict of schedules.
i work full time, go to school fulltime and manage my own business, so its really hard for me to take time off to sit there and make individual sprites and code/programming. it gets very tedious and im constantly tired, im in school right now actually writing this for those who actually were keeping up with this and pming me. but yeh sorry guys,  i doubt this character will ever be released. it was planned to be finished within a month, but after it went over a month it just became very hard to keep up with everything else going on around me.

this is what i planned or gotten so far:there are 2 modes:

satusi no hadou mode: (murderous intentions)default mode (different stance)

*fast/chain combo influenced"

shun goku satsui: (demon rage mode) press start (different stance)

*different supers, all his 3 powerful supers looks were altered.(raging demon, the air chop, and the ground punch)

the sprites..they are a good concept. (SF3 crossed at CvS)
but the shading is wrong, u have to try improve them.

also we will appreciate that u post more of your shots, bc i also remember seen this  time ago, and never get further.

with all respect to recently deceased reu. 
i was making a mugen game with all cvs and snk chars and i wanted reus ryu and ken in the roster but their graphic style didnt match.
so i redid few of his sprites and swapped the rest with a cvs..if anyone is interested im willing to share...but if sharing is wrong then just forget everthing i said.
all the credit goes to reu all i did was make a few sprites and changed the rest.

True, Reu's stuff is kinda of a hard topic to talk about.

Due to the respect the INFINITY team has for him we would like for you not to release him here in any way shape or form.

If its for your own personal use then thats okay by me, but if your planning on releasing it then you need to find another forum.

I see how you feel, but i mean, an edit is an edit but i will say this, Reu was a very talented artist and everytime i have seen people who have tried to edit his work, others get very critical towards it... but based off of these screen shots, dude this edit looks amazing.... Just make sure you do what i did with binho's subzero, always refer to the original author's name and character after you say its your edit.. like i always refer to my edit as "My edit of Binho's sub-zero" that way everybody knows that this not my character, this is merely my edit of someone else's character, and therefore you have given respect to the author and the fans of the author won't get on your back about you not showing enough credit..... :-??

I realize you gave credit already :), i'm just giving you some advice before people start saying stuff like, "This is Reu's work"  :-@or some jealous remark like "Reu would be so dissapointed"  :-@(Even though no one knows if he would or wouldn't because they aren't him)"  =D>  In others words just be careful because people r very critical when it comes to people using Reu's work.. thats all....

But dude honestly i luv what you did  :w00t:, and i wish you the best of luck....   :thumbsup:  :)

yeh im just a big fan of the cvs style and i dont use or have any other ryus or kens in my roster BUT REUS.
so i converted them for my own personal use BUT i was willing to share with anyone who else liked the cvs style over other styles...but out of respect for reu and taking adivce from you guys i guess i wont share it. =T

ok im at school right now and after going to work but i started fine tuning the sprites yesterday.
ill post more pics and im trying to give him different palettes but when i click on shared pallettes all the colors get screwed up..i made up about 5 different .sff files with different palettes but im making a completely original palette and fine tune the sprites.

ill post pics of this and the REU's KEN.

also i was told that i can release these sprites publicly as a "patch" for people who want to play in cvs style format???
if its coo let me know if not i guess ill just reply to the pms.

Yeah, I think it would be like a patch, because you're only putting edited sprites in there.. you're not changing or adding any moves (I think)...

If you're not changing or adding any moves, then release as patch..

i made a few stances and different sprites but its less then 10.
the one on top is actually ryus stance he has a breathing animation, i kept his eyes closed and his head down to try to express that feeling of power and hes a master at what he is so he doesnt need to be in a fighing position, but the stance after that is just the regular evil ryu stance.
but yeh it was mainly for people who love reus ryu but wanted it in CVS style form. i didnt want to change anything from the original.
i would never edit reus coding or programming, it is a work of art and still the best damn ryu and ken out there.
i think the cvs style is the best looking art style and reus ryu is still one of the best out there, so i tried to implement the best of both worlds.

btw i was gonna send this through pm but i didnt want to keep replying individually since it gets tedious.
those who offered to take over my akuma the one in the first page, i have lost a lot of his work BUT if your serious i can recreate the sprites, it may take a little bit of time due to time but if you guys were serious ill hand the sprites over and you guys can put in your own touches of coding and programming and make a really good akuma.

 so the people who pmed me for akuma or whoever else may be able to access it for their own creation.
this stance has a full 6 sprite animation which shows the wind blowing through his dogi and hair while he calmly breathes. when i orignally intended to make the akuma he had 2 stance she would change to due to which mode he was fighting in. satsui mode or shun goku mode.

below are other pics of reus ryu after a bit of fine tuning, i still got a little more tunning and when i get the thumbs up ill release it as a patch.. ( GREAT IDEA from SDOT thadon btw)

here are the REUs KEN. the sprites are changed but the x,y axis needs tweaking.
i used metagoukis furious ken, his cvs furious ken sprites is really nice. the fact that its different from other ken sprites and his stance looks nice as well. im gonna ask him if its ok to use his ken sprites for the swap as a patch.
i used 2 other ken sprite sheets for other moves because the furious ken didnt have sprites with a lot f moves as well as recolored the palettes..this is really tedious boring work btw.
all credit goes to REU. for awesome coding and program
and metagouki for his sprites...if he says its ok, btw.

ryus stance that reu made him is gone.
instead i have these 2...which are completely animated 6 frames.
one where he has his arms crossed and one where he is calmly breathing while flexing.
agian these are all animated..as for the gouki yes he still in the beta spriting...i have some cleaning up on some shadings.

i gave ryu these stances to give him that look like a true master.  REU did make the best ryu and ken up to date..so i wanted to show that through their stances.

edit/ just looked at the beginning of the thread again....i am now begging....please finish and release gouki! i will make a new rooster in my mugen around you gouki....they will all have to be at least half as awsome as this!!!

For the cvs fans who i promised last year i would release a patch for REU's ryu and ken.
had to restart over.

Changed the fighting stance for both fighters due to pallette issues.

ryu  90 percent.  +edited sprites.
ken  70 percent. +edited sprites.

@spoon...yeh it was meant to be released last year but due to computer malfunctions i had to start over.

it took so long cause i lost motivation once i lost all my work.

you really start to respect mugen character creators, they sure do put in a lot of time and effort, just so the community can keep striving.

it took me almost a year just to create a sprite sheet. jeez.

I understand about the motivation thing.. I almost started over with Chameleon, because I thought I didn't save my work but I did end up finding it on my pc (took me a few days, though... ;*))).

thank you for the kind comments, but please stop sending me PM's with your emails requesting this.

the .sff files are not even FINISHED.

i have said i will release this as a "PATCH" which seems to be perfectly fine with the community leaders.

i have this open up at mugen infantry and mugenjf...nobody has a problem with me releasing it as a "patch."

so please do not send any more PM's with emails requesting for this, when i am done with the .sff file ill release it.

if you have anything to say please just say it here without me opening up every PM to see that its bombarded with emails and requests.

I just always looked at it as being flattered that so many people were interested in my creation . It would really be horrible if I spent months of my life making something & no one cared about it . They took the time to type the PM , so I took the time to respond to them . Just my veiw point
