Title: "Reserved" states list?
Post by: GaryCXJk on December 09, 2007, 08:05:33 AM
To keep it short, in MUGEN there is a list of reserved states like idle, crouching and win / lose poses. These are just the basics, most people know them from the documentations. However, there are a lot of characters out there using their own sets of states to interact with other characters, like freeze animations or decapitations, and there is even one for rape (as in, intercourse rape).

So, wouldn't it be nice to have a list of states which are reserved for special interactions? I mean, it is fun to use the already existing animations and states to interact with others, but they're not really that dynamic, especially if you want to use dismemberment interactions, or if you want to use special throws (so that the SPO Ryu can finally have the reverse-throw people always wanted).

And, we already have the perfect place to put the list, since it can be ever-changing: the MUGEN wiki. Of course, we need to persuade the wiki-goers to actually agree with the idea.

This might have been suggested before, but so far I can see it never hit ground, so I hope this would change it.

For example.

Although the slime guy appears to be a chick as well.

Also, certain patches allow for tag battle and / or groove add-ons. If we could reserve these states as well, there would be no conflicts of states.

The states aren't as important as the anims in this case.

A list of optional anims that were on mugenguild is located here (http://randomselect.i-xcell.com/forum/index.php?topic=703.0)
