can you say "one of the greatest platformers ever"? I remember getting my Dreamcast, this was my second game because Sonic was too expensive and I remember playing a little bit on N64 and I wanted to play more. So I got this game and man, it's was one fun ride. I enjoyed it more than both Sonic Adventure games, and it still holds up well today. Too bad Rayman 3 wasn't nearly as good (they killed it with voice acting too) and that Raving Rabbids crap is awful

I was a little disappointed when Rayman 2 came out. Rayman 1 is my #1 favorite platformer. The environments, the music, the chars, everything was perfect. Rayman 2 was good, its just that it was so much more different than part one that it was almost awkward in a way for me. Almost every single level was dark, gloomy and boring, while in Rayman 1, pretty much all of the levels were lively, colorful, bright etc. The gameplay was really good in pt.2, its just that the environments were too dull for me. And the golden gloves in pt.2 were soooo hard to find! lol, goddamn! not to mention as soon as you die you're not gonna see another pair of gloves for a looooong time. Good game though :)

I guess they used the whole pirate theme for the reason for being really dark. As far as Rayman 1, the best version IMO was the Atari Jaguar version. The colors were more lush, and the music was way better than the PSOne and Sega Saturn versions. And the music when you met Ly, it was awesome in Rayman 1, the Jaguar version, I wish they used it in Rayman 2

never had the Jaguar (are there emulators for it?) I have Rayman 2 for Dreamcast and imo it's better than both the Sonic Adventure games... I think Imma play that tonight, I'm halfway through the game

the emulators for the Jaguar are horrible, they usually lock up my PC, and I have a very good PC
