Thanks for everyone's patients this morning. On this day we are proud to bring you the newest revision of X-Men: Second Coming. Less than a year following the first release, this game brings all of the amazing battles from the original as well as tons of enhancements for the seasoned fighting gamer.

I wouldn't mind this to be the final of this, and as it isnt? or is it? because this alone is just awesome!!! thanks to all the X Group for bringing us this funn adventures game hehe, and I can't wait for a stand alone release for Gambit, Cable, Birdy and Rouge now! hehe

Not all the Easter Eggs are particualrly secret either, just stuff that the comic fans will really pick up on and notice, in the back ground, in intros, win poses. Then again, some of the best Easter Eggs are tricky to find.

To the Project X team: This has to be one of the best X-Men games I have played since Mutant Apocalypse almost 14 years ago(Legends was okay, just okay...).

Superb! I love it every bit as much as I did the first release.  The 1.0 version is even better, actually.   One question though, If you went to all this trouble to make the game purely awesome with 1.0...  How come you didn't make use of the Win Screen capability?   (Not a complaint by any means.. I'm merely curious.)  The Win screens are actually one of my favorite parts of 1.0 (it's what got me to finally convert.)  A plus is, since it's a closed game, personal win quotes for specific characters would be a snap.

I would have to agree this is one of the best x-men games i played. it feels like a console game.

One thing tho. How do you get past that blue radiating orb baston releases? He stands over you after you fall and uses it. When you get up you get hit b4 you can block. if he uses this in sessions you die :-?? 

Edit: Never mind i noticed this is only if your dumb enough to get caught in a corner.

Playing this currently with Cable. I LOVE IT!!! and darn you guys for making BASTION hard. This will be a challenge i will put off dishes for right now. Good job on another release guys ^^

Thanks for the update, I always liked Mystique's dizzy animation, but I think the switching it's a little too fast.

You probably just tried to download it during an update, it was updated twice since originaly uploaded, just try one more time.

you don't need to run it with any emulator. it has it's own .exe file dude. Just double-click on that. :)

Rouge is really great can't believe so much work was put into her shes awesome. If I typed everything that's good about this game I would have an extremely long post. On the sound issue, I thought the BGM drowned out the voices myself. Open the config file and modify the music volume setting, not the sound volume. I dropped the plugin volume to 50, seems good to me there.

About Rouge, yeah. When she gets releases, she's going to have powers all across the board: Capcom, Marvel, maybe even DC is Acey's up to it.

the perfect stage to him is his stage at MSH, i love that stage, but is not possible fight against him at arcade mode, so stage is not really necessary.

Just played it... wow, much tighter.  The chars who were a cakewalk before put up a much better fight, while all the ones who were tougher before except Cyclops (zonin' pain in the @$$.. heh) are now easy it seems.  Emma's QCF KK in her diamond mode is now a reversal (I don't think it was before?) as well as a throw so I'm likin that.  The reworking of Nightcrawler is questionable to me, what happened to his teleport dive kick and lunge kick?  Just a slide now.  But he's more effective, so cool, just seems like he should have more weapons for diversity.  Colossus and Iceman toned down (with priorities and move startup times respectively) so that's good stuff.  Prof X joins Strong Guy and Juggernaut as the chars who can easily steamroll through the CPU.   Beast is a beast now!  Mystique is also improved.  Bishop's loose properties are tightened up and hypers hit the way they're supposed to.  Has anything been done to Birdy at all?  She's still the weak link it seems, but she's fun and interesting just the same.  Haven't tried everybody yet, just my 1st impressions, I'm sure I'll hit up the bug thread later...

dude, DLC as in possibly a later version of XSC that has more characters in it to download, not the ability of adding characters to the one you have when they're done.

you know what? after playing this game extensively, i don't like it? i mean. . . who do y'all think y'all are putting out this game? here are some complaints. . . cable is awesome, deadpool is the man, y'all went as far as having a hidden character. . . and i'm not gonna bring up the fact that y'all are in the beginning of a release party! what? y'all think i don't have a job? y'all think i don't want to spend time with my woman? this is getting out of control! and on top of everything colossus is like a wrecking ball, i never beat him the first time. oh, and rogue is f'n crazy. . . and i don't have the bugged version. i've been here almost since day one and i still can't believe the talent you guys have. it kinda makes me made that i have a xbox, because i can't remember the last time i played it. i'm horrified of what you guys have planned for the future. . . i swear i wish i could do half of what y'all do. this game is the modern day mona lisa. imt turned mugen from a fun game to crack on a computer. thank you so much for what y'all do. . . i swear y'all should be getting paid for this. mvc2 was my personal favorite game of all time, so y'all should know how much i appreciate this game. thanks to everyone involved.

I noticed Nightcrawler's teleporting effects were changed from the previous game to where the purple/pink light explode for the center of his teleport cloud was used rather than the yellow/orange one that was there previously.   Was there a specific reason for that?   The orange light effect made the overall teleport look better and more striking.   The purple light effect was only on Rogue's teleport last time around and kind of makes it boring and single toned (absolutely no offense intended, just an opinion).

It's a minor thing, of course.  I was just curious as to why the change?  (Only because the other effect looked much better.)

Are you guys going to update the Magneto download link (@ Project X site) to the newest version of Magneto in the current XSC game?   I'm wondering because the Magneto in the current game combos MUCH better and as a result is more fun to use.

I have my eye on the updated X-mansion stage, then we would have the entire contents for our personal mugen.  However, I am extremely grateful for the releases we already have.

As to the lifebars: Yeah, that's actually the really cool part about those lifebars.  Their design just seemed to scream "custom" lol.   It's fun making ports for them.

I love it love it love it!

It's just as good if not better than most "official" games I've played. (though Bishop's stage and the sub-bosses run a bit slow on my computer--I've been trying the various speed fixes in the manual, but they haven't been working...Works great on a friend's computer though.)

One ever so small thing I noticed, but it's one of those things that affects how "complete" a game is--if you know what I mean--Mystique needs an Xavier sprite added to her Shapeshift Madness.

Ah, but he's a secret character, meant to be hidden from view.  Her not having his sprite makes sense, and if Xavier was a secret character as well a la Mutant Academy 2, I wouldn't mention it.  But he isn't--he's part of the main cast, and his exclusion from the Hyper just kinda points out that he was added later.

Again, not a huge issue by any means, but given that the point is to make a complete game here--rather than a random collection of MUGEN--I thought it important to bring up.

Been playing for awhile, love this game. Found tons of loops for most of the cast. Wish this had online play, would make this alot more fun.

Speaking of online play - anyone knows how far IKEMEN got? Is it stable enough to build full game on it or it doesn't worth it? And on that matter could developments of IKEMEN be moved to new version of MUGEN? (it's branch of MUGEN so maybe projects merge?)

last time I checked, most bugs were fixed, simulator mode works @ like 80% (some lag). Other then that, all I can suggest, is to give it a try.

Not that, the download apparently triggered his anti-virus software to think it was a virus, becuase it's an EXE file contained within another EXE file. I've never seen that with this download before so make sure you downloaded it from the right source before opening.
