Alright, I figured since we lost all those posts from those 3 days that I might as well post an updated version of the EoH project rather than just reposting about the previous release.

In addition, we have the new Juggernaut in the game now, Wonderman's stage was added to the stage select, a few charcters have had their FX conversion completed due do some random hyper backgrounds that were missed the first time around, I was able to get the first page and a half of bugs fixed before the thread was lost. The manual has also been updated.

A word about bugs, different paletes do not constitute bug, rather simply personal preference, if you're not happy that Doom has a gold palette then that's just too bad. On that same note, the select screen portraits won't match the palette you chose to use with the character most the time anyways, so differences between the portrait and the palette are not worth reporting as bugs.

Have some fun, kick some but. Galactus is a little easier in this version and the AI for Tron Bonne has also been simplified. Let me know if any of the other charcters are just owning the game.

Well not to put any more work on your plate I would like to nominate M.bison and deadpool for A.I. touchups.

Bison if encountered can cause a good amount of strain on otherwise a casual game but deadpool appears far too often and can literally destroy you before at least getting two hits in.

I feel kind of dumb that I burnt the last version of the game to a DVD-R but regardless these past two releases have been solid gold. Great job once again acey!  :)

I did the same too, but atleast you didn't make a DVD-R cover for it. After I try this released out, I gotta wait until this thing is completely finish.

I wish I had a cover printer for the discs, just using a sharpie makes everything look tacky.

Since you lost the posts from the last 3 days, and I haven't seen a Bug Report thread, I'll repost what I said 2 days ago. Move it if necessary.

Ken - If you tap repeatedly his standing attacks (ex. MK, MK, MK, MK) only the first frames come out, not the actual attack. The attack doesn't come out until you stop pressing it and the frames are allowed to continue.

Blanka - The ticks for his normal attacks seem misproportioned, making them seem slow. His crouch HP has strange knockdown properties. His df+HP can combo for 20 hits. His diagonal rolls have odd trajectories. His hypers are not very effective.

I gotta say sir, I appreciate you being man enough to come us and drop feedback here instead of being like certain people who talk loads of $#!t elsewhere and then hide behind a false user name here so they don't get banned.

Do go on, break it as hard as you can and hit us back.

Hello!  I downloaded the updated version of this game, and I'm addicted to this game; I'm playing this game everyday now   :cool

Things that I really like about this updated version are...

1. New Rooster (I like how characters are organized as teams)
2. New graphics (cool hyper background with thunder!!!)
3. New storyline (That's a good idea to bring the special guest in the end of the game!!!)
4. Updated Symbiote Onslaught (much easier to defeat him!)
5. New Endings (I beat this game by Ryu, Maskless Wolverine, Nash, Cable so far, and noticed they have their endings)
6. New Characters (I like all new characters like Deadpool and Rhino; I didn't expect they were gonna be in this game!)
7. Returned character (I'm glad "Ura" Wolverine came back in safe!!!)
8. New Stages (Especially I like stages that mugen creator Jedah made!!!)
9. New music (I like the music with Talbain's stage!)

This is the huge update of the game!  Since Symbiote Onslaught became weaker, this game is much comfortable to play now.  I love the new storyline of this game.  Especially, additional new endings of characters make this game a lot unique and interesting!!!  Having good storylines always make arts (novels, movies, video games, lyrics of music) very interesting and better!  I really like the ending of Cable; it's cool to have his ending in this game because he didn't have his original ending in MVC2 (as I remember...).  Those IMT version of marvel characters (Ms.Marvel, Wonderman, Sentry, GreenGoblin, and so on) motivate me to read Marvel comics more, and I didn't know about characters like Sentry before, and this is the great introduction for people who are new to American comics!  I hope people from online news (such as WIRED) introduce this game for people, so more people will have chances to play this game!!!   :thumbsup:

btw, I noticed some characters have hidden move that wasn't listed on manual.  I love features like this!

Please keep up making wonderful games!!!  I hope  I get to see the version that allows gamers from around the world can play this game online (I guess it's up to mugen engine creators).

Elecman, Anita, Blackcat, and Jin are not in EOH anymore.  Look for Elecman in Robmaster Mahem.   ;)

Super Marvel vs. Capcom Version 6.0 (released May 31, 2009) was downloaded 15,004 times before being replace with Version 6.1

Version 6.1 has been downloaded 11,625 times since.

There are quiet a few people out there playing this game. Thanks to everyone who has participated so far and thanks to all the beta testers out there right now who are reporting the ways this game can been improved.

  • Make it for M.U.G.E.N. v1.0 RC

We've tried to get artists to make new portaits, in various ways but no one has followed through. Let us know you you're interested.

Jin will be back in eventually.

We asked permission to add Thor to the game three years ago and we got a "No" from Loganir since the characters in the DCvM project are ment to be exclusive to that game only.

the game and there are alot of cody and guy sprite sheets..makes a great story line, even having

cody in his current jail suit would be cool..having them fight aside each other one more time. a guy

I checked it out and like I had thought it's quite addictive xD  Fantastic job and certainly took me back to the ole' arcade days of dropping every quarter I could find into a mortal combat / streetfighter machine  ^:)^  Even my wife likes it and she is computer illiterate.  :P
A couple suggestions for a future update..
After playing your game for a while I checked out Mugen 1.0b8 and it does indeed play much nicer on both my laptop and my desktop.  The enhanced resolution and faster load time of the new beta is nice.  Although with a little fiddling inside the Mugen.cfg file I was able to get the older version that came stock to play without screenflicker.  I just had to turn on "enable vertical retrace synchronization" and  switch from "pageflip" to "normal draw mode" and it ran perfectly fine.
     So I liked your game so much it made me decide I have to get into this hobby and do some stuff of my own  ;D  I can't think of any higher praise than that.  I've been a 3d modeling/rendering guy for several years and have a blender3d/yafaray/Kerkythea/ render setup at home.  I think I'll see what I can do as far as character building goes... *wrings hands together...

Actually current Thor is on the drawing boards but he definitely won't be in the next release.

Yes, Jin will be in there again, he was removed since his character was too "buggy" but the replacement version is great. I would love to see BBHood myself as well someday.

Since the current version has been out for a while, any chance we may see the most current versions of some of these characters or stages released for stand alone mugen?  Thanks for all of your hard work.  Great game.  :thumbsup:

Absolutely, all of the updated characters will be released following the next set of bug fixes. The hard part is that since all the characters in the game uses the game's shared FX, they don't have their own, and those will need to be installed before release. That would include things like hitsparks, hyper background, launch fx, etc...

Hi guys, sorry new here...I was just wondering I saw Captain Marvel (the real Mar-Vell...not genis or anyone else) in the first post that says 'new features' etc...yet I see Genis-Vell in the bottom thing, does that mean they are both in it? I'm just trying to get the coolest version of Captain Mar-Vell there is...can somebody please help me?

Hi guys, sorry new here...I was just wondering I saw Captain Marvel (the real Mar-Vell...not genis or anyone else) in the first post that says 'new features' etc...yet I see Genis-Vell in the bottom thing, does that mean they are both in it? I'm just trying to get the coolest version of Captain Mar-Vell there is...can somebody please help me?

Since the current version has been out for a while, any chance we may see the most current versions of some of these characters or stages released for stand alone mugen?  Thanks for all of your hard work.  Great game.  :thumbsup:


I'm going to quote myself to see what the status of individual release is on any of these characters.  I know you are working on  other projects, and always have real life to deal with, but what can you tell us about these?  I don't think they have been released separately yet have they? Thanks again for all of your hard work.

It's true, we have a bunxh of character re-releases that are due. All of my chars are being updated for Mugen 1.0 compatability of course.

I want to start by saying I love the work that has been done and am amazed. Thank you, thank you and thank you! Now my question which I hope isn't too foolish. I noticed a discussion listing the characters for the full game as being connected. I'm assuming that means I can't just take one of them and put them in another MUGEN game. I'm a big fan of this roster and if anything would only want to add to it. Can I add characters to this game? Would I need a different screen pack... say like the Super Marvel Vs Capcom also released on this site? Hope that doesn't sound too clueless. I just got into MUGEN and this site was the recommended place to go to!

The full game here is a single download which content can't be removed from but all of the characters, stages and even a version of the screen pack can all be downloaded seprately for use in your own personal mugen set up. I hope that answers your question.

It definitely does. Thank you for the heads up. I'll be able to look up the characters by using the info in the pdf to identify authors. Is the roster/stages located anywhere as a downloadable package? I'm sure its been asked and its not a complaint or anything along those lines.I'll gladly go piece by piece I just figured I'd ask real quick before starting my hunt. Thanks again for the info!

1) I loved that version of Enjoy the Silence every since I matched it up with the original big phat promo video. Enjoy the Silence will now always remind me of the early days of IMT and the hours upon hours programming with chatting it up with the other old school IMT members (that and Stadium Arcadium).

But we wanted a completely original soundtrack, which is why the song doesn't appear anywhere in the game.

2) We will rebuild the screenpack for Mugen 1.0. Although no big changes are planned it's always a possibilite. I like the idea of larger portraits.

i dunno the others, but i prefer extremely large potraits, just like sfa3 :

I know it's been a long time since I posted anything about this, but are you going to work on the AI to make it compatible for MUGEN 1.0? If you don't know what I mean, try raising the difficulty for the program, fight one of POTS characters and you'll see the difference.

Yup, SMvC-EoH had it's time in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and XSC had 2010, right now it's MM:RMM for 2011, although I think it's fair to mention that there is still something going on in the background for the other projects as well.  ;D

Yeah, but he's not really a liked Ace Attorney character. I like Apollo a lot, believe me, but a lot of people think he "stole Phoenix's role". For Ace Attorney fans, Wright's just... better.

basically a game that is called ' moleboxed' . you cant take anything from it or add to it. its sorta the equvalent of having per say a company style locked game but with mugen engine and locked.

Short answer: no

Long answer: We're working with the Rockman project so that we can get the essentials for a stable beta. With this project, we're aiming toward a more complete experience, so our focus at the moment is there. That doesn't mean that EoH is finished, far from in fact. EoH will go under a heavy retooling when we get back to it, it will just be a while. How long is not something I can answer but when it does happen, I'm sure it won't be 7.0 but more like Final.

To restate what G-Lux said with some more information, the majority of the IMT is working on other projects, but there are also certain members working on very important pieces for the future of EoH. EoH was slated to be the priority this year but something else came up that changed everything.  :thumbsup:

Guys, this game is Awesome. If its bugs are fixed, like you did in AvX, it will be the best 2d fighter ever released (not kidding). Playing as Adon was just amazing.

I wanted to ask you only 2 things:

1 - When you retake the project, I thought of 2 generic combo limiters that would fix present and future bugs automatically, making your life easier:

Limiter 1 - The atacked character is forcefully knocked down depending on the amout of damage he suffered on a combo, effectively stoping it. After passing the damage treshold, the first hit of next attack would knock down the character and it would be impossible to hit him during the fall or on the ground.

Limiter 2 - Any kind of punch or kick delivered on a combo could be counted, and after 3 or 4 of the same (no matter the order of the sequence), the atacked character would be able to block. Something simple as that would effectively remove present and possible future loops.

I'm only asking this because infinites just brakes any fighter because of the cheapness.

Also, I believe these 2 limiters wouldn't be hard to implement and they would be an easy solution to loops and infinites. You wouldn't have to keep searching for bugs and changing codes for each character.

The game would even be perfect for championships. I'm dead serious, this can be the best 2d fighter ever released.

And just in case you don't care for a game without cheapness, at least put this changes as an option or make a tutorial teaching how to insert them in the game.

2 - Make the PP or KK avaiable to assign keys. This would improve the gameplay so much, for keyboard or joystick playing. I think this shouldn't be hard for guys like you.

Despite your answer, know that I'm already a fan of yours. You are trully the greatest. A soon as I organize my life, I'll get back to study programming, to help making these awesome games even more incredible.

The game is awesome but honestly i stopped playing it because i was THAT annoyed by the lifebar, i think it's really ugly and doesn't match at all the aesthetic of a MvC game in my humble opinion. Is there any way of using an alternative lifebar?
