OK guys another great week in the sprite contest. A great theme with great entries! I am really very proud of you all. Seemed like you all put in so much effort into making your sprites this week.

Many of the entries this week are made from scratch using no base.

Remember the rules & do not dog any of the hard work from anyone! Please refrain from mentioning who you think made the sprites as well. Thanks!

I thought indie meant not made by companies or anything, but made by individual artists... like freelancers basically... I could be wrong about that though... If I am, I'm sure I'll be corrected soon enough...

Fone Bone has my vote for originality, and the Hellboy one I suppose... :P

Sure it's the same pose, but It's still sprited.

That's Spawn sprite pose in the contest is in the Soul Calibur instruction manual.

If you look at my avatar, that Spawn is from the Christmas cover where he is throwing body parts in the bag. My Christmas avatar has the hat & the bag of body parts on it.

But all these examples are still sprited by someone

Image is an indy comic company. It's not Marvel or DC, that's what the rules specified

Post by: .Batzarro. on March 06, 2010, 02:11:23 AM: Man, this week is made of pure win. My main vote goes for Hellboy and Lady Demon, that one is bad @ss. Second vote goes to Optimus, looks great but should of been a little bulkier.

Other entries that were close for me also were the Spawn and Yojimbo ones. Both awesome as well.

I agree, I actually used to just hang out with Jeff Smith at comic shows before Bone became popular. I loved the book then & Jeff was a really cool guy.

I think if my memory serves me correct, it was entered in the Spawn week comp. So it couldn't have been entered here
