New improved Hobgoblin ......
There's nothing Hobgoblin likes more than an explosion . This new version brings plenty of those just in time for the 4th of July .
What's new .......
New intro's , Winpose , Hypers .
Poison Gas , What I call the " Pumpkin patch " move , Heat Seeker Pumpkin missles .
Just see for yourself there is alot of new things . He is like a new character .

A very special Thanx to Susan Mugen for all the help . I really think the new improved Hobgoblin is a real fun character to play .
Acey gave me permission to use Green Goblin in the intros . Just in case you are wondering about it .
I was working on a stance & then Acey made a new stance for Green Goblin & they were too similar . So I scrapped mine . A new stance & some new animations will be added in the future .

I know he still a beta.. so I know he'll be better in the future a.i. explosion hits etc. (I'll spare you my comments ;) )
You've doing a good job in making him different from Acey's Green Goblin.. I thing I really like is his fly towards the screen Hyper, really innovative 8)

Naw tell us what youd recommend. It really does help when people offer suggestions, even if we dont use them all. Weve learned to be less sensitive these days, we used to just F around, but were trying to make better creations these days.
I'm sure susan would take all recommendations to heart.

Ok... I'll give him an extensive run later and post some feedback, I'm a bit limited in my time today and Sniper Joe already took up to much of it ??? so I'll post it later this weekend.

The feedback I promised:
- If one of his hypers connects it build more hyper bar
- His QCF+KK Hyper seems a bit too damaging, besides that it feels a bit odd, it sometimes pushes Hobby off screen.. maybe you should think in doing the style of Silver Surfer's Hyper (Scruffy version)
- His Pumpkin missiles should have a screenshake effect like Ex already mentioned
- On his QCB+PP Hyper; The "fly towards the screen" attack can't kill off an opponent.
You could consider spriting him flying off backwards to the screen, the current flying upwards looks a bit odd
- His FP is on auto superjump followup, most people would prefer manual I guess
- Maybe (I know that's A LOT of work) revise some sprites (add some more detail & animation)
So much for now... if I find some more stuff I'll let you know.. but I really like the fact that he's more than just a Green Goblin clone now, good job!

Thank you all for the comments , the props & the downloads . I have 172 downloads of the character right now , between 4 forums & youtube . So I am glad that many people are enjoying him .

Thanx for the constructive feedback . You were correct in saying he is still a beta . There is more to be done to him at a later date .
All in all with what was done to him . That's not too many problems . I think Susan & I made great strides with the character from what he was .
We will look into the things you mentioned . For the next release he will be changed again .
As for the sprites . I actually wanted to change more & sprite more things for him . But I did want to get him out here for the 4th of July . So I ran out of time on what I was going to do .
I didn't have alot of free time these past couple months as it was . I got caught up in the Medieval Spawn intro for awhile . That took some time .

I thought I'd ad that some sprites dont seem to be on the palette, and seem to change to the origional sprite when hit (see Diedara's latest video)
Should be an easy fix

I think this one is a much bigger improvement over the original one. The only big problem that I still have is that the sprites look really choppy. They would look much better if they were cleaned up.

I have no idea about what to do with Hi Res mugen . So if he did work on there it would just be dumb luck . As I didn't know what to do to make him run on it .

Hey all, I did the code updates for this version of Hobgoblin. I appreciate the feedback. Some of the things suggested are easy like adding a shake effect or removing the poweradd from hyper moves, ... there's a couple things that are tougher. Palettes are my biggest weakness.
Also, with the 3D fly at the screen move, I had a bug where if someone got killed by the move, then it messed up the animation of them getting hit into the screen and even made a clone of them. I didn't have time to figure out how fix it before I went off to work for the summer, so I just made it a non-kill move, but it's certainly something I should fix... perhaps I'll add a hit at the very end after the "get hit into the screen" animation is finished and make that a killable hitdef.

I think if we could get the eye on a differant color tile there could be a lot more potential palettes. I could do it for you guys in about 45 minutes if youre interested. My personal version is just about done

The guy who was the hobgoblin at the time sold his soul for more power. The demon that was traped inside him became Demogoblin and they were eventualy seperated and Demogoblin did stuff on his own for a while.

Do what you can & send me the finished product . Hopefully the palette can be fixed .
As for Demogoblin ......
To be honest I've always hated that character . But now that I made Hobgoblin , I just thought would be a cool thing for the character to have . So that's why that is in the works .
