I've played it before. I called it a bastardized Tekken 3, because, for some reason, that's what it reminds me of.

It's not a terrible game, but it sure has its problems to keep it from being much more than simply mediocre.

The controls for some special moves is totally asinine; some attacks require pressing two buttons at once. I don't know about you, but its awkward trying to press Square and Circle at once, among other button combos. There's, more than likely, no negative edge, so you need to do your commands *perfectly* just to do them right. And pressing multiple buttons at the same time isn't enough for moves that need it. You need to press them together in a quick order. Why couldn't they allow the player to map multiple buttons to one button, like Tekken 3 did? And don't get me started on characters have different moves for forward, then square, and forward AND square. Hell, Method Man is the only guy I can effectively play with for his moveset. The fact that I have to, unfortunately, spam his infinite combo when I'm able to helps.

And there's the AI in story mode, which I hate. Early on, they're easy, but later on, most fights boil down to "Hold block, hope the enemy doesn't throw, wait for the enemy to attack, and then attack before or after the attack is done, while hoping the opponent doesn't block your attack and counters you." That Raiden knockoff is the epitome of this, where you can't even hit him unless he attacks, and if you do, chances are he'll instantly counter you with his cheap attacks. And then there's the gang raping I go though sometimes, where I just get trapped in a corner by multiple opponents and get huge chunks of my life taken off. And Turtling doesn't work because, chances are, you'll either be thrown, you connect with an attack, but can't follow up because another opponent hits you in mid attack, or the opponent blocks and you get hit by another enemy.

I hate turtling. I really do. Block when I have to, but I usually don't base whole fighting strategies around it.

The chamber system is just kinda... eh.

And I don't like the fact that the game's character list has been inflated by having counterparts to the Wu-Tang members, and play almost exactly. So there's all of Wu-Tang, their counterparts and the 3 boss characters.

The only really good things I can say about it is that, beyond its flaws, I do like the fighting system, I like most of the music, and the fatalities are, in general, pretty good.

Wu Brew is PEOPLE!

dam for all those years i had my ps1 i cant belive i never seen or heard of this i would of loved this game.

There's far too many differences throughout the whole game to even consider Shaolin Style the progenitor of Def Jam.
