Well at the beganing of the year I said I was going to do a Axel Character but some things don't go my way. Well now I back and this time I have a sprite and A  stance sprite.

Here the Sprite edit.

Right now I just going to edit the sprites and take things slow.

I have a list of attacks that from the old Ideal i had for Axel. I dont know if Ill keep them yet.

Standard Attacks:

Gun Attack: Shoots a Axl Bullet(Light punch stright. Medium punch Diagled.)

Twin Gun Attack: Shoots two Axl Bullets (Heavy Punch)

Hypers:

Twin Axl Pistol Beam: shoots twin super beams

Zero Breaker: Charges energy into the Z saber creating a huge giant blade and slash is opponent. (Like Captain Commando's laser trio Finsher.)

Army Of One: Axl transformers into Zero and dashes at his opponent. If he catches his opponent he slashes them 4 time then transforms into X and fire 3 fire balls. As he fires each one he's pushed back. Last After he fires the third fire ball he turn back into Axl firing mutipule Axl Bullets.

Ultras:
Army of Three (Maverick Hunters Trio Attack). Zero and X leap in, Zero grab his Saber and charges it. (Zero Breaker) Axl Peoforms his Twin PistolSpecial, X fires super fire balls in the air. (Lke Sukura in MvC2) and Zero slashes.

For give me: A close range attack when Axl is standing next to his opponent he jams the gun into their gut, says for give me and lets out a full power blast

Im going to post a new list for attack ideals soon if u like any of the ones listed above let me no i may reconcider it.

Axl is about 5 to 10% Sprited.

Finishing up all the basic movements such as stance, jump, run/walk, punches, and kicks.

By the title of the thread I though you meant Axel from the Streets of Rage series, lol. Good thing I'm a huge megaman fan as well, your wip looks awesome and I can't wait for the release. Good luck.

if you're gonna make it a real WIP im a 100% rooting for u :)

ok ill give u advice...
axl moves like bass XR [ chaotic's] just a couple of twicks like dash in the air and the change of weapons :-$

and the stance.... the left hand needs changing...
you forgot the eyes...
plus that metal in his back [ wing ], it only comes out when he is flying...

and... for the hypers...? add White Axl [ lumine armor ]
add some shine in his fore head [ gem thingy ] too...
and axl can morph...

i totally forgot 1 hyper, ummm in the game megaman x7 axl has his trusty ride chaser...
even in RockMan X7's manga... its color green and totally different from X's and Zero's Land chaser...

i totally forgot 1 hyper, ummm in the game megaman x7 axl has his trusty ride chaser...
even in RockMan X7's manga... its color green and totally different from X's and Zero's Land chaser...

Some work to be done. I think you should try a different stance..maybe like the one from Megaman X7. Also you should work on his hair, it looks a bit rushed, also his face should be edited so he doesnt look so much like Megaman. Maybe add that scar he has over his nose. He should also be taller, Like Blue Bomber said. The white spikes on his back only pop out when he jumps or dashes. Also (I believe) I think he'd look better with atleast one gun out. Look at Slowcar's Axl sprite to get an idea of how Axl should look, or Eternaga's sprite edit video of Axl.

Axl is smaller then x, but he should be a bit bigger then clasic mm.
Just by leghenthing the feet and legs a bit, or maybe the torso it would be perfect..

Ideas, well If i remember correctly Axl could turn into the stage enemys, so you should have moves were he turns into some of those.
And dont forget his guns

okay, i think you should remove the guns, cuz he's a fighter now not a shooter... :-?? whatever floats in your boat

and he's eyes should be darker green not super green
he's shoulder armor looks kinda small....
and change the hand where he is holding the gun cuz it looks kinda weird holding a gun like that, sorry about my demanding answers.... ::salute::

You should change the angle of the gun and give Axl another gun because he usually holds one pistol on each hand.

To be honist I dont think the gun should be in his hand I think when He attacks It should Teleport in MMX style. But if I redraw the hand and darken it so it sits in the backgound it may look better. Im going to  Animate this pose since over all there where no commits about it.

To Blue Bomber your responces is what i want this is my first chacter and im open to everything. So keep with it my friend  :)

Thanks for conforming what i thought about the shoulders and the eyes can be darkened. I glad yall didnt say its still look to much like megs in the face.

Thanks to Spider mew as well over the time lengh of this project i will look at the eneimies for attack ideal. That was a good one my friend :)

well, he uses two pistols in every posters...

Thats tru but in game he uses one except for his special attack.

The Copy shot. I thought about that but everyone in my old thread said it would work or couldnt figure out how to do it. I was waiting to c how the Morph Wip did or if it even transforms into his oppenent. I asked creater and he/she said it complicated and to wait for the release . So :-??

well in X7 Axl can copy the Boss's weapon

yeah i Im and thats one of the reasons im going forward with mine finally because Ive seen 3 other sprites and at least 1 wip. I came up with the Axl ideal last year when people were speading rumors of IMT doing a megaman game. Then In Feb I started Ideal for this character but didnt move forward cuz of school and other issures.

The forgoten 1 Axl: Rages possible first Wip. Look for it if you like i did post the link for reasons. . . . . . . . . . anyway I feel this was my ideal so im going to do one. Its going to take time cuz im in school and i want to take it slow in the first place. This is my first charcter and i want him 2 be as great as possible.

Yeah I guess so sorry about that there are so many wips and such out there I some times get confused but, any ways yes, I think  was talking about your mega man and zero zx wips BLue BoMBeR. I was just wondering cause I hadn't seen any posts about them in ages.

What do you mean. Are you talking about the spikes on his back because those only come out when he flies.

Did the legs G Lux and thnaks for reminding me to put the booter thingy back on the legs.

As for the pistol its a sprite rip I edited in Illustrator and photoshop ;) Thank for the complaments.

well u can use Cerenas' Q-BEE for flying codes...
and Toskomiks' MegaMan X for the wall stick/jump

I am using pixeles for my character. What its a lil bother to me as well but what u going to do. I use Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects for everything i do. Do u recomened using a different program? I have painter?

Uh...Well I always save as .png but I've never had that problem..

I use only Png and only that. I cant smooth out the sprites with Painter X but I wont be able to do that for some time due to I got to save money for a Wacom tablet. My hand isn't stady enough working with a mouse. :(|)

Great man. I love Axl. In MMX CM Axl could only copy Fallen bosses. like in MMX7 he could not copy the leader from red alert until you Kill him. So Axl would be better to just become known bosses he Koed.

Also maybe have him use different weapons as well Ironman's Proton cannon would rock.

if you guys havent noticed....AXL has two guns not one. and he holds one in each hand. but im pretty sure you guys already knew that. and for his launcher i think the Cable idea is great but with two guns he could shoot each blaster once for a total of two hits making the move more Axl style and less Cable style.

Yeah, he has two, but he typically runs and guns with one. The second is usually involved either with Special attack like his Copy Shot or the tag-team attack in X8.

for his a-trans (changing form of other characters) moves dont forget he made a comeback in megaman zx advent as the biometal Model A and he copied megaman zx advent (hybrid of megaman and zero into one) and lots of other characters. i know you are keeping to x8 but i thought i should mention that because there are a lot of cool moves from that game especially his giga crush

That metal from ZX resembles Axl but if you look up the profile for that metal its not based off Axl. That is one of the reasons i wont use that that.

Also its a great ideal and ill look into it for other ideals but probably wont do that exact attack cuz its not Axl.

OMG Model A, totally didn't see that coming when I got there.

ZX's story seems to run two stories in tangent, yet seperated at the same time, and that makes putting it together hella-confusing.

Think of his head as a Giant V
Where the point is the chin, and the ends of the v are the ends of the white part.
The white part should be angled like this. I think if you start with the v shape and draw onto that it will come out allot better  :thumbsup:

Hey I love the command picture but the Ideal of Zero as an assist............  Right now i dont c that happening concidering cuz Axl can change but i will take it into consideration when i do the attack list.  I did in the past have Zero as an Hyper and Assist in a hyper too but ldk bout that ether :-??

I'm sorry I wasn't trying to say you where a bad artist you just need a little practice ok. I mean it was your first try at his portrait its not going to be perfect the first time around. I am really sorry about what I said. I know digital art isn't easy cause I have had a lot of problems with it. I do much better free hand myself.

I was thinking of making this Axl's knock up attack. I was going to have him horn u with his head like a bull and knock up into the air :D wat do yall think? If there is a bull boss in any of the X games Axl was in i may have him transform into him. Was there a bull boss in any of his games?

I want Axl to b a fun character and i think this is a step in that way. U should see the block i edit :DxDie just wait for the beta release.

Well any ways im here trying to figer out how to create, open, and add thing to file using fighter factory I think I got a gouid for FF sum where just got to find it.

Hopefully if things stay on schedule i'll release a beta in Jan but it will only be the basic attacks no specials yet L-).  I know that sucks but i want the basics as close to perfect b4 i get on to specials cuz thats where the real work is. :-@

I would but those guys, i  dont fit. I did join thier site and looked around but i didnt like wat i saw. Those guys are gifted dont get me wrong but they'er not doing things the way i would. I made Axl (or trying to) in the image of capcom. I want him to look as if they made him and tho sum of the characters look the part not all of them are in that style. Who know mayb my Axl mayb put in EOH if i put in the work the admen's mite place him in  :-[  a person can dream huh. 8-} But wat ever he's going to be the spit wat  n c. . . . . . . :thumbsup:

This is what i came up with after me and my cousin went over Mew's sprites. Starts where he flip off is opponent and the shots them.

When he flips off his opponent he kicks them and on the way down he shots them for a total of two hits. It would be close range of coarse.

So do u think this would work as a hard kick or better as a throw? 

This is just a ruff animate i going to hold the shot longer and he going to leap a lil higher in the air.

thier was an ideal for a butterfly kick but thats a last resort u thats a beach to edit/ animate.

Im at the point were i want finallize the designs cuz i got many sprites but lots of em are from different base edits so here the two different finals:

yes, this is possible.

Let me assk you: do you want me to join you on this char? I can do the programation. One idea that I have is to make his Copy Shot (or whatever it is called) to work like Rogue skills a bit (in fact, to work like the unrelased MB-03): He copy the current char that he is facing and, if its on his database, he can morph into that char to execute a move and turn back to Axl.

in X8 the copy shot remains active until you ran out of energy in the level...it's not time limited like in X7
The weapons in X7(and i believe X7 as a whole) shouldn't be taken in mind,as the arsenal
His skin color is different on the sprites you posted,what color are you gonna use?the one from the stance or the one where he's holding his gun with both hands?i would totally go for the second one(unless you want a suntanned prototype reploid  :D)

Thanx man. I accept it. I will talk with Akito Sama (who did Elecman with me and would make Axl with me) if he wants to help us with the sprites.

The copy ability can't be him transforming into a new char for a long time...that could consumes TOO MUCH SPACE and TIME. Its better to have him transform, do a move, and tranform back.

I even have the shot effect (its maxima's intro fx): when he reconizes the oponent, he will transform into him...when he isn't on his database or something goes wrong, he wont transform.

Yeah KPT, X7 is the black sheep of the series, utter trash. Axl's weapons aren't even that effective on the bosses. Even with the correct weapon equipped, you run out way before the boss is dead.

The only redemming quality of X7 is the music, and even then, some parts are subpar for the course.

I've only beaten it once, and frankly that all I care to play of it. I'm just glad X8 was able to turn the series 180 from that mess.

Sorry i haven't made any announcement about Axl . . . . Well sorry to er1 thats 1drn bout him. Well dont believe the 30 persent that under my name idk the real percent. But here goes sum news:

I Havent really worked on Axl since the beganing of the year cuz of school. I put him on hold cuz i was graduating and didnt have time 4 him and the deviants.  Axl requires lots of time and editing so  . . . Deviants cum b4 Axl so he lost out and school above all things when the time came.

Now Im back on Axl as im done wit school and i need a mini break from GFX.

Right now Im going to do a massive sprite work on Axl b4 i ask O Ilusionista if him and his buddy are still aboard this train. So while i work i want to no if its any thing people think needs to be changed cuz after this i'd like to say this is the final design.  Here a sprite in case u 4 got wat version 6 looked like.

Well the run and the get hits are the last things i got to 4 the basics. heres sprites of the run b4 i edit it. All i did was change megs right arm and add the gun. i didnt want to do a original run cuz i would have Choreography it and thats a lot of work. well tell me does it wok 4 yall?

That looks good, but I think the spikes on his hair are a little too thick, mainly the one spike in the middle. Still, other than that it looks really good.

I made a color separation for Axl. What do you think about it?

The main problem was that once in the reduction color, the pallete of the original sprites used a lot of colors (more than 200 I think), but the most part were just another tones of the same color (like more of 5 black tones).

Well I got Nestor coding Axl for me. As of now just getting started coding him because of me. I had to (have to) go back and redo all the sprites ive done so far. This is my first character and i didnt no there was a color limit in fighter factory so thats my bad.

On this note id like to thank Nestor for being so patient with me because this issue and my other indevors that keep me from putting more time into Axl. Thanks Buddy :)


As for the stance I will change it but im going to focus of other parts of the character for now. Im tired of the stance. I tired of thinking about it and working on it will kill my mojo. It feels like work right now so its no fun and a real downer. But I will in the future sprite that pose from command mission to see what it looks like.

Axl's boots should be two sections not one section like Megaman's.
EDIT: Well, some sprites look like the boots are 2 sections but on other sprites they look the same, should be a quick fix though.

the boots are one whole thing. thats the shadow on them.  As of now the boots are not pointy because that made his feet look to big.

Be sides im too far along to change that now.
