Thats a silly statement. Its not stealing because the orginal studios still make lots off money off of western markets. And people want to watch anime, it provides intersting storys and concepts not usualy seen in western television and movies..

I could never get into Big-O
To me it was basicly a giant rip off of other anime.
Disaku from Giant Robo was doing the watch summon thing long before Big-O, and Big-O riped his name off of a mobile suit from Zeta Gundam called The O
Plus i hated Big-O's design, The arms were put on so awkwardly....

EDIT: The animation director for Giant Robo is the main director of The Big O. Also, many of the animators who worked on Giant Robo also worked on The Big O. So, that shows how wrong you are in the "rip off" department. As for the name, check this interview out. uhh anime is ok on a scale of 1 to 10 i rate it 4/10 its ok buts its not all dat. Animugen u must have a anime shrine in ur closet its ok though i just don't think anime should be worshiped . is there a anime that u dont like animugen? yea anyways i voted it nothing special.

Big O was funny because it had 60's Mecha Film Noir for a genre. It had great music to for a noir setting.

Even if it were to be a "rip-off" of something else, that doesn't mean it can't be entertaining.

Ok, ill admit, that me badmouthing big O, for how unimformed I am and how little i watched of it is just as stupid as say... some people say zelda sucks for not being as "hardcore" as halo, or just hating anime in general because of how badly spliced togeather speed racer or battle of the planets was....

I'll admit that.... Although that dosnt mean i feal like giving it a chance and for going with my predjudice tward it. Perhaps one day, if someone I know in real life with a taste in movies and anime i respect tells me its good, then i may give it a shot.

I'm a born Otaku. Like I always say I first watched Dragon Ball when I was 5 years-old, and I was the first one to know Goku before my classmates did in 1st grade.

Unfortunately I don't know as much as other people, due to a long story involving my family (but that's over now ). There are not many mangas in Argentina, but I got the full series of Saint Seiya and Evangelion (up to date). No animes though, I should start getting some, but I'm currently on videogames.

Believe it or not I'm actually picky when it comes to anime.I don't like animes like Naruto or Bleach because I hate Shonen anime except DB,DBZ,Jo Jo's Bizzare Adventure & Hotuko No Ken AKA Fist of the north star.And I dislike anything I've seen thousands of times like Girls Bravo and Shakugan No Shana(Yeah it's starting to seem typical to me) or anything perverted(EXCEPT Love Hina)

So I'm actually quite picky.However Anime just has something that american animation just doesn't have.I mean the artwork is kickass but there's more to it I just plain out can't explain.
