About the gameplay, I'd want it to be like a story mode, like Acey coded AvX, but at the same time I need to be down to earth. I have no idea how to code it nor time to learn, so everything will be random ish. Oh and not all of them stages will be in different years. For example I might have 3 stages in '84 and 2 in 2013 and so on.

This project looks very good!Well, this might be funny, but I have it all covered, except Bastion. I have a more powerful final boss. A boss so evil that manipulates the future sentinels. I might include Bastion in the gold edition of the game, if zvitor gives me permission.
If I read it right, Daken is sent to 1984 to avoid the Apocalyptic future (the 3 billion deaths and the Sentinel oppresion), just like in "Days of the future past". But, in addition, some other char is also sent to stop him to 1984, reminding Terminator 2. It's really funny.
What I would expect:
- To see Bastion as the second time traveler, or maybe Nimrod (Onslaught might be a proper base).
- That the 1984 X-men stop Daken when he tries to kill Bolivar and a hard fight until they realize that he is sent to avoid his future (I think something similar happens to Bishop when he travel back in time, here, however, Daken will know that the X-men are real and how they look, but the X-men know nothing about Daken (it will be curious how Logan takes it)).
- To see the X-men roster of 1984 in 1984 (Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler and Kitty (Jean is already dead and I think Cyclops has left the team)).
- Maybe the plan of Daken interferes, somehow, with some plan of the Hellfire club, and he has to fight Shaw too (this is an excuse to bring Shaw to Mugen :P).

tessa can be in the background all the time, like kof team members reacting to the fight and sometimes comming to aid using her low level telepathy, the whip to hold the opponent and even identifing the soft spot on the opponent.
harry leland can be a nice striker too , he augments his weight and shaw can throw him as a classic team up like wolverine and colossus.
Shaw can be in a position holding damage, and while he does it, his damage would be reduced and, after that, when you stop pressing a specific button, he would release a punch with all power he accumulated

* Maybe u can have a mode where he begins as human form and as he absorbs energy he can transform to Sauron. U can use a meter for it.

Using the rest of the original Hellfire Club could be a good idea too, either in individual hypers or all at the same time (similar to the Sinister Six hyper of Sandman), or why not both options depending on the power level.
For Mastermind, I would say he could send the oponent to some sort of dream, where Shaw is huge monster or a knight or pirat with a huge sword, similar to the world that Jean Grey saw while under the influence of Mastermind in the Dark Phoenix saga.

I agree with Tom, what you're doing with the cutscenes show there's a great deal of effort and passion put into it, and that really helps sell it.Hey, man. Of course you can skip. The cutscenes last for at least 25 minutes and that's only the intro. I also have an ending and post credit scene.
That being said ... please tell me you're going to give players the option to skip the cutscenes, because I'm not sure how many people will want to sit through 10 minutes of story before they get to the gameplay

Since I could not figure 2 or more bases to mix for Shaw, he will be mainly Tiger. Therefore I have to improvise a lot to make him different from Tiger.
I already made some moves using Geese, Sagat and others.

Kind of hard to answer, as Daken wil be from a future time line and have to fight with the X-men (if I understood well the story plot) and probably doesn't have friends to team with.Thanks for the suggestions, man. Would be cool for a Age of Apoc char. And since you brought the discussion here, Daken will have two versions;
I can't imagine any mate that might help an unknown mutant "terminator" from the future ... but another mutant "terminator" from the future which appears through a time portal only to aid him a couple of seconds before vanishing. If that doesn't sound ridiculous for you, the couple would be anyone, like a future Colossus or a future Beast. You can use the looks of "The age of Apocalypse" comic-book for inspiration.

I would add some animated rags hanging from above (I think SNK games have those)... the Batman Returns SNES suspended scaffolding too... some semi-transparent candles in the foreground (aka MK3?)... some light beam effects from the damaged ceiling.
Some pigeons/doves would be pretty John Woo too. And if you want to go full weeping angel mode, there are some giant statues in Charlotte's stage. Heck... you could use skulls from Gen-An's stage too for creepiness.
It's hard to tell just by imagination, best is to try these and see if/how many fit the stage concept.
We have a finished Saint Dumas Cathedral for Azbat and I am glad we didn't use mostly the same bases :D

I agree to the artistic freedom for the feral stance...I agree with you man, a little bit of artistic freedom works as long as it doesn't drastically throw off the character. I can see Shaw standing like this when he's on his last straw and wants to absolutely wreck someone stomping on his joy.
X:COTA Omega Red has all those weird crawling movements that we never saw in the comics or tv shows... so I guess it would be ok to give some weirdness to Shaw.
So I reckon you guys like this stance so I decided to keep it and change the walking and also some animations, so I can give him a nice transition between the stance and the rest of the animations.
How much different are the stance from the walk and other attacks? The walk animation is always the worst (to me anyway) to do so it might be easier to play around with the stance a bit more. I'm assuming the walk is Tiger's from MM? Does he have any transition frames that you could use to edit the stance slightly but still make it flow together? Love how crisp the sprite looks thoughYes, it is Tiger's walk I used for Shaw. But looking at the stance and then at the walking, even if I have a good transition between them, it won't work. See, this stance is a 'ready-to-rip-some-heads-off' stance while Tiger's walk is a 'I-mean-business' stance lol. Don't know if this makes sense. So I decided to use a resized T-Hawk for his walk. Obviously with a different torso. And I'll put the old walk to good use; I will use it for Jason Wyngarde hyper.
