I know in the modern games that Zero doesn't charge his Z Buster, but would you be willing to give him a chargeable buster, like in X1-X3?

Also, does Zero have any throws in this project? I'd like to see some throws, maybe a Soul Calibur type of grapple with a Z Saber hilt strike to the head.

Oh my God. Finally! I've been waiting for this exact Zero to show in RMM. With Rage's Axl and ChAoTiC's X, the entire trio will be unstoppable! I can't wait!

I would assume that Zero is going to get some projectiles from the buster since Zero will also have the 6 power sets.  One power set could easily be a charge shot.  Different projectiles are the easiest way to fill the slots.   :)

I think that a grapple like Hayato's in MvC2 would be good for Zero. The one where he stabs with his sword, then throws?

That thing is SOOOO much easier to beat that Raffelsia. I could never beat her, so I never got X's Ultimate Armor, although I heard it wasn't worth it by more than a couple of people.

Okay i think ill say something finally. First off your Zero is the best looking in Mugen sprite wise. Now down to business. Look at  zeros face. dont know whats happening there but doesn't look good. Reminds me of Battletoads Double Dragon. lol I took your gif broke it down and looked at it. I had to because your sprites were not alined correctly. They were sliding every which way. I adjusted the timing to give the punch more power too. (The second animation  up top.) By dissecting  the animation looks like you can use one  more recovery frame. The Hair needs more frames too. its a solid mass so it will be very noticeable if frames are missing. The only time choppy hair works is while zero is kneeling. Why is the hair in the air when his arm is raised?  i noticed you got some squashing and stretching going on with that right leg. Thats cool but its not a smooth animation. your missing a in-between ( frame)on that leg too. Its just moves from a front view to a side view doing the kneeling. The legs motion in this animation are just as important as the punch. On that note i loving what animation you did with the right arm. moved the arm and fingers. The left i say adjust the timing and it rocks too.

****i added one frame doing my review its the first fame the zero stance. I dont base none of my comments off of the inclusion of that sprite. i didnt that for my own viewing purpose.****

Over all great work. add a lil spit shine and will glow.

the hair is secondary animation. the base way to start is to the the animation without the hair. in other words add the hair last. look at mvc3 zero for points....

Good to see my Zero sprites put to good use, and the edit for the smash came out nicely, but I think that the hair should go up when he's slamming down, not as he is doing so. :P

@Rage: I edited both legs, but looking at the animation, you are talkin about the relation of the standing leg to the HyperPose leg, yes need some fix there...

Probably late in the game to tell you this but the black outline around him makes him look like a darkstalkers sprite, and stylistically that won't match other project characters. Otherwise he's looking pretty good.

Why wouldn't this dude just work from here? The base fits the MvC style a lot closer. Not knocking what he's done so far - but even starting over on this base, he'd save a metric ton of time. He needs new light and medium basics (his jabs suck but hsi sword attacks look great) and then Ramza could throw in his sweet new super anims with the heads and shading reworked, and ta-da! character done.

X is open source and Ramzaneko is working on revamping his Zero still.

Sorry if I dredged up onld drama. Not my intention. Just X there, his sprites are noticeably nicer than Zero's, from small things; the head, shading and outline. The anim stuff you're doing is great; I'll take your word that you're gonna be improving the sprites later on.

My reaction is not directed for anybody, just saying... The outlines are easy to change, quick process with msPaint color replacement eraser.
Empawk X is not the one that will be on this project, got to say that too....

I was told by Ramza earlier that the proportions on my X were good now. So that would mean that the grey part of Zero's legs should be slighly longer, because Zero is supposed to be about 1 head taller than X. Here's what it currently looks like together.

I want my X and his Zero to go unrivaled during their release. So I am trying really hard to help him with his Zero's look. :)

I am guessing about 1-2 pixels on the grey parts of his legs might do the trick. :)

Yes, you should take the height into consideration. Perhaps on a separate idea, perhaps all 3 of us should make team hyper attacks, sort of like in X8.

Are you going to make the sword animations seperate? I think it will be better to have it coded so it can have some transparency to look a little better.

Note that the fingers are parallel to the malleus. And because of the weight, the fingers are bent a little, but still maintain a certain angle

Well, he defiantly must have regular red, black and nightmare pals. Choose others as you wish, I personally liked white(with blue gem), golden and 3rd in both rows of last image.

So you're gonna stick with this shading? I figured if you switched the face of this revamp with the black-outline sprites, you would have a winning set of sprites. But it looks just as good like this. I really wish I could do this with Searchman. Great work!  :O*D

Yeah, like in X4-6. Also, that reminds me, if you remember in X5 when you beat The Skiver there was W-Shredder/Shipuu tech for Zero where he made temporal clone in front of him. That was good attack, maybe you'll use it in your Zero. ^-^

Ramza, is your Zero sometime in the future will have Nightmare Zero buster and Saber projectile shots (given only by Nightmare Zero pal / evil version maybe)?

At the moment of what you did with Zero I'm not sure what to add since most of the people mentions what I would say. Keep up the good work. I'd like to see what you'll do with get hit, jumping, turn, animations soon.

Ps: Nightmare Zero somehow reminds me of final form Omega from MMZ. lol imagine if 1st form Omega ever make a small appearance in this. I would be scared happy.

Yes I done it just now but the medium saber attack will not get better cuz 2OS failed to make this one to look nice :(

About tatsumaki... I don't know, it's kinda yes, he have it, but that makes him shoto-clone at some rate. Could it work as a power set move or maybe be enabled with special code on intro(like Acey's Rogue using Konami code)? It kinda feels like easter egg.

I half agreed and half disagree. While I feel as though he should have it, it shouldn't be an actual move. Maybe more like his Heavy Air Kick? You could have him spin until he hits the ground and still be able to hit with it.

I absolutely cannot wait to play that game.  Ive been following that since the first gameplay vid was released.  Yeah, I was going for the strider type mechanic.  But the code is referenced off of dg's megaman from his leaf shield, which was taken from one of POTS characters.

Ok i updated the blade animations for the crouching attack, i did a little video of the test and some other attacks enjoy.  I think it looks a lot smoother than the version i sent you Ramza.

The stance doesn't need to be fixed. All that needs to be done is a slight fix to three or four pixels on his face on the frames where his mouth is shut.

can i give a suggestion? Whenever you make a HR sprite, make it at the double size, then use scale 0.5 in mugen.
This looks way better. If you blur the sprites on the normal size, the blur is too strong.

Front foot is immobile, and back foot shouldn't move like that. Aside from this, nice animation!

I cant wait for Zero to be finished. He is a character who is a must have for that full game project.
One of the zeros who exist does have a Hyper in which he slashes the opponent in a Combo from both sides. I cant remember the author because i lost all my mugen data  due to a hard disc crash. But i would like to suggest that Hyper for your Zero if I may.

The sprites of his didnt amaze me that much. but the move sure did.
Your sprites are the best ones. second best are the ones from DarkCypherLucious. In my opinion at least. Keep up the great work.
