Need help on a tricky small portrait

Hi all

I need help reversing the small portrait of the Silver Surfer. I took a swing at it, but the reversed small portrait kept acting up, with bizarre colors. I can't do it, and the maker of it strangely made it this way.



I want to make it facing towards the right. I was able to shore off some of the portrait to make it right for the box, but that's it. I'd like some help from somebody more experienced than I am. I'd greatly appreciate it!
