Feel free to ask any questions regarding the project.

If you'd like to suggest the inclusion of a character you can do that too,  just take into consideration whether or not a character has a sprite set before suggesting them.  I can't draw sprites after all.

  • I saw the finalized lifebars. Will you use custom portraits?
  • Is there any way you can add in limited life regeneration like in those Capcom Vs series?
  • Will Mega Man X, Zero, and/or Axl make the cut?
  • If you didn't like the SFA sprites of Chun-Li that much, why didn't you ask somebody to edit them for you?
  • Will there be any more strikers from Marvel vs. Capcom made into full characters?

1. Yes I'll be making portraits fit the lifebars appropriately rather than just be the same squares from the select screen


2. Yes but unfortunately there will be no red bar for you to gauge it.  If i were to script one it wouldn't work properly if someone were to change the life amounts from 1000 to anything else.

3.  Definately Zero. I'm looking for someone to help me convert Zero screencaps from Tatsunoko vs Capcom into usable sprites.

4. There were Capcom vs SNK 2 sprites available and it was easy enough for me to edit SVC chaos sprites to look like the CVS sprites and complete her MVC moveset.

5. If someone has a decent sprite set for them, sure

I'm mostly interested in Shoma, but if i hear of complete sprite sets for other characters I wouldn't turn that down.

Well, Fervicante made Hinata Wakaba, and the CFAS team is currently working on Batsu. With that we have 4 chars:

I think i have enough people from the street fighter franchise for now.

What do you think about Lou and Arthur?

Much of their original sprites are made by Laspacho, The Anvil and Acey.

Arthur would be cool.  I'd have to see if they'd be interested in sharing him.

Oh, I almost forgot to ask you: Do you also plan to make chars, that were only strikers before?

If there are sprites it's worth considering.  As it is I'm not a spriter, just a coder.

You got that right. Do you really need so many SF's? I count 20+ alone, which is worse then even CAPCOM themselves ever got. I really think it'd be best to only have 3 or 5 SF'rs, but it's your game, and it's up to you what you do with it. Just my two cents.

Considering that at this point i have 58 characters planned for the game.  I don't think it's too much of a problem.  The reason there are so many street fighters is because they all have sprites made out for them already.  It's exceedingly difficult to get good sprites made for characters that never had them before.

Li-Kun is an excellent spriter and I already hired him to draw Devilotte for me.  If you want more non street fighter characters how about recommending me some good spriters that aren't already busy with their own projects.

One more question though: Is it just you or do you have a team behind you?

It's just me as far as coding, lifebars, animation, stage creating, concepts for new moves, screenpacks, and sound ripping goes.  Original sprites are being made by talented sprite artists like Li-kun, Felo Llop who's letting me use Crimson Viper when she's completed, and 2Dforever at Mugenguild is letting me use Falcon sprites as they're made.

Right now i'm looking for someone who would be interested in spriting Shoma

I have a question about the Chun-Li in your project. Does she have color separation? I ask because there is a complete open source sprite set here: http://network.mugenguild.com/jmorphman/ (http://network.mugenguild.com/jmorphman/) its under "Resources"

It offers a highly detailed separation of Chun-Li that includes all her sprites and edits(tenshoukyaku, air lightning kicks, etc). I posted it because I thought it was worth the mention.

Also, has there been any work on Cammy?

Chun li is already finished, but the color separated sprites would be worth looking into.

Cammy is done also but I'm ironing out some bugs from her joint super involving Juni and Juli.  I touched up Cammy's sprites so that her eyes weren't yellow and black.  Instead they are white and blue.  I've done little touch ups like that to various characters in the game.  Like Jin for his flesh colored eyes and teeth.

if they appear in the game, they shouldn't be cheap, and the only original variations are Evil Ryu, Shin Akuma, Morrilith (Morrigan), Shadow Lady (Chun-Li), Shadow (Charlie) and Violent Ken (sorry if I forgot someone), so they are the only ones who can appear

Honestly, it feels like a waste of space to have a palette edit of a character.  Also i don't like the SvC Zero.  I'm going to put in the Zero from TvC/MvC3.

I think I'm coming close to finalizing my roster.

Yes i'll be making new stages and remaking old stages.  There won't be any character specific stages except for the 2 boss characters.

For example the Forgotten Sanctuary stage was always supposed to have a transition between the ruined version and the version that the spirits pull you to.

the story behind this stage is that the forgotten sanctuary is actually a gateway to other realms.  the spirits in the abandoned sanctuary pull you through the astral plane to another realm where on that side the sanctuary is still intact.

Yes it is for the most part finalized.  I ordered an EZCAP 148 pro. im hoping to expand my roster just a little bit more.  It's a long shot but if people can do it with TvC why not other games.

Im using a shared sound file with all the MVC1 sounds and some MVC2 sound effects.  Anything character specific is taken from roms and sound packs.

The progress looks rather nice Beximus

Though I noticed a couple things about a couple of your stages from that video if you don't mind me mentioning

The stages in the video are very old and won't be like that soon.  Non Capcom character appearances will no longer be there if that's what you're referring to.  Vice Shermie and Mature have been removed already, as well as the DDR characters in the poster in the Metro Dream stage.

Oh yeah, I intend to add cameo appearances by characters that won't be in the game from different franchises.  like say Ashley, Elena, Apollo.  I just have to figure out what stages they can appear in.

Hey beximus, about Rose & Ingrid. Is there anything you changed or added to them? I really enjoyed them, especially Ingrid.

For Rose, i added flight, changed her soul spiral so that it doesnt slide quite as far and behaves a little more like her alpha 3 version.  it still does the same amount of hits though.  the flickering soul power effects are seperate from her body sprites now so they'll flicker during hit pauses. New effects were added for her aura soul sparks and the aura soul through pillar of fire.  The aura soul throw doesn't send the opponent flying across the stage anymore and the sound effects have been changed.

2 special pallettes black and white that have 5 flashing colors instead of 2 and a soul illusion that creates a color spectrum trail.  I usually make the last 2 or 3 pallettes experimental.

As for Ingrid,  she falls slower from her sun upper attacks,  Her sun shot doesn't explode anymore unless they make contact with the enemy.  the sun shots travel in slight arcs now.  she makes less noise during basic attacks now.  Not every basic attack has her grunting or yelling anymore, and her shoes are color separated from her legs now.

Im still not having much luck putting a video together with free programs like x video converter.  Im considering getting sony vegas.  though that seems extreme for just wanting to splice footage together with music. 

Also i've been working more on viper which was something i wanted to show some more of in the video.

ah Xsplit isn't quite what im looking for.  I need something that can help me splice videos together and then save it as a new one.

Nice progress, especially with C.Viper. One more question, what about the display of the select screen & vs. Screen? Are they still going to look like it did last time or you revamped that as well. I must say, I love how you linked your own loading gate with the vs. screen & the fight. I suggest you keep that.

Oh yes i'll definitely keep the loading gate.  I just need to edit it for the new screen size.  The vs screen will stay the same except maybe a new background animation.  the select screen needs to be redone to accommodate the size of the new roster.

Being given 12 palette slots per character i thought I'd include some palette ideas that i thought might be interesting.  They don't affect gameplay.  It's purely aesthetic.  Not every character has them.  Only if it comes to mind or I run out of other color ideas.

And I had an idea for Servbot. I'm not one to be pitching ideas, since I can't actually put them to work, but this is what I had in mind :

It'd be one Servbot. He'd have most moves from MvC2, but the exceptions. One move he'd have would be to wield the toy hammer. Like, it'd be a separate stance. And then for the Servbot Lunch Rush, Tron would stand behind him doing her little laughing taunt. Also, when in the hammer stance his idle animation would be him sitting on the hammer *with the handle facing up* and he kicks his feet with a happy face on owo.

Why not? Street Fighter X Mega Man was shown to Capcom and look what happened to it.

come to think of it i remember hearing that capcom considered mugen like fan art and payed it no mind.  I think it was nintendo that shut down fan projects.

No, Nintendo just shut down game hacking, and not by telling peoples to not make it.
They just compress stuff in their games or made them less interesting by removing unused stuff before publishing it.
It was ZUN, who shut down most of the Touhou Fan Projects.

I grew up playing import versions of capcom games so the Japanese names are more familiar to me.  This will also make it easier to separate characters like rockman and megaman.

I grew up playing import versions of capcom games so the Japanese names are more familiar to me.  This will also make it easier to separate characters like rockman and megaman.

We'll be able to change them when we get the game I suppose?

No actually.

I'm not really using any fonts for the game.  names you see are actually single letters or symbols.  It was the only way i could get the vs screen to work.

I just want the names in only one language, for example, if they will add in japanese, Hsien-Ko should appear as Lei-Lei, if english, Tabasa (and other characters) should appear as Tessa (and their other english names)

With tow languages, I meant, that everyone can select the language, that is best suited for the player. In your case, you could then just switch from japanese to english.

You'll see 10 stages in Arcade mode and 8 more alternate stages will be available in the other game modes.  in total there will be 18 stages that will all be selectable outside of arcade mode.

The 10 stages in arcade mode always appear in the same order and is intended to convey a story.

My goal is to provide everyone with an ending,  even if the ending is mostly just text over a backdrop.  A character ending was the only reward a person would get for beating arcade mode so you gotta have something.

I also would like to include pre-bout character dialogue between certain characters.  Rose/ingrid, Jill/Felicia, Zero/Rockman etc.  It might be that not every character will have it.  It won't be like SNK vs Capcom where every character had something to say to every other character.

I'm doing a lot of research into character bios to make sure i get the details and behavior correct to avoid uncharacteristic dialogue.

None of the stages will be specifically from any Capcom franchises.  I wanted to be free to explore my own stage ideas, and now the stages in arcade mode are part of an over arcing story.   i do plan on putting cameo appearances in them.  characters who arent playable.  They won't be in the demo since there isn't enough time for it.  but i intend to have them by the end.

Hm im constantly jumping around between characters, but maybe someone would want to see how a character they're particularly interested is coming a long.  I think after the demo is released all start making individual character WIP threads like for Cody, Zero, Devilot, and anyone else people may be interested in.

Sorry that i didn't see this sooner.

I've been trying to make a special font for the VS screen one that would use a seperate color pallette for each character's portrait using SFFv2.  After working on it for quite a long time I've come to the conclusion that it isn't possible and i haven't been able to find anything online refuting it.

I've also been trying to find ways of making Rose's reflected projectiles blockable, so far i haven't been able to.  those were two major issues that had me mired in my own development hell.  At this point i'm just going to move on as it's delayed the demo quite a bit already.  I lost track of the bigger picture.  This isn't supposed to be a final product.  it's to give everyone an idea of how things are coming a long.

first off Beximus I'd like to commend you or whoever's responsible on the AI.  It could be a bit tougher and projectiles/across-the-screen defending is still a problem as with most mugen AI's but it's definitely better than the usual.  I don't have my friends over/bring my lappy to their place all the time and a couple of them refuse to play mugen (fighter scene snobs) so it's nice to have an AI that doesn't seem half-asleep.

I find this very enjoyable, my best friend really digs the lineup of SF chars (4 of his mains are in there!), for an MvC based "engine" it's got a more Alpha feel to it.  Thanks especially for including Hugo, it's me and the aforementioned friend's best char in 3rd Strike and it's good to see him with super armor and with 360 piledrive motion (good to see you didn't give in to the keyboard warriors there but too bad for them!)  Combos are on point with aerial raves easier to do (thank you, although they're simple, I struggle with the superjump timing under pressure in the official games) and it's fun to see what combos and chains are possible w/ chars like Yang and Rolento.

I didn't read through the thread so I don't know if somebody suggested it before but, you might want to ask Acey if you can use his MvC Haggar, being that you have Guy and you're soon adding original Cody (not to mention the bad guys... hey throw MvC Poison and Sodom in there too!  That would be awesome although I understand if you're going for a more dynamic roster, just sayin you already have 4 lol.)

Thank you very much for your feedback.  My goal is to make something that people will want to play with friends, so hearing that you and your friend are playing the game and actually enjoying it makes me very happy.

I did actually code the A.I. myself and it was my first real attempt at it.  I wanted to find a level of difficulty that wasn't ungodly but was still challenging.  As i continue to make more characters i can figure out more ways to get them to fight back a harder.  1 thing you might notice with the A.I. is that when fighting against rose she'll know when to reflect projectiles and supers.  That was kind of a hard one to figure out since the distance of the opponent would have to be calculated before she would reflect.

Perhaps the game has a more alpha feel due to the commands used for safe rolling and counter attacks.  I did base those commands off of alpha 3.  Some purists may not like that but i felt the B,DB,D command for a safe roll wasn't really necessary and i needed to reduce the number of commands being used.  Mugen only gives you so many different command names that you can have and everyone has to share everyone elses commands so they can work together as partners.

I really like Hugo also and i thought he'd be a perfect candidate to include in the Demo to represent a grappler who hasn't been in a marvel setting previously.  I had at one point considered removing 360 commands and making them half circles,  but i later changed my mind when i realized people could play this game with usb controllers or maybe even fightstick.  Also as crazy as this sounds i can do 720's on the arrow keys when im using kawaks.  for the longest time i had no controller to plug into my computer so i had to learn it. 

not too long ago i realized that the timing of aerial raves can get kinda tricky with some characters in the original vs games.  especially when they would launch them really high like gambit.  I tried to keep the aerial raves easier to do so that you can connect all 4 basic attacks before finishing the combo the only person that I consistently had trouble with was Rolento because of his awkward Jumping LK


I have good news for you regarding your character suggestions.  I fully intend to include Haggar Sodom and Poison in the game.  that way there will be 4 good guys and 4 badguys from the final fight series.

funny you say that, cuz before I had pad and then fightstick available for my PC I was doing 720's on keyboard on 3rd strike on the (now defunct, guess it's Supercade now) 2DF, and otherwise 360's on that and kawaks (I couldn't get a 720 out fast enough for anything but 3S because of the lax timing so  ^:)^ if you could do it that quick on other games!)

I think that this game will be one of the best this year, but I want to make several things with respect of the users, since I'm new to this great forum.

It is true that there are quite a few characters from Street Fighter. But I don't want to forget to IBUKI

Be very well that there are many characters from Street Fighter and I saw that they added to KARIN and HIRYU. Its aerial combos excellent I think that Ibuki who is very good in this field would be good to compete with the great characters of this space.

I see that the game is much better in terms of the dynamic combos and this helps a lot to make good combinations.

I ask as request including Ibuki.
As a big fan of it I ask with respect and hope to achieve it to include.

 :D doesnt matter to me if Ryu is in or not. i play it when its done for whoever is in the roster.  I have heard this "unwritten" rule for some time now.  I dont have a crapton of characters that i been told would be must have like Bleach or DBZ characters or omfg naruto himself...( i got another dude from there in tho instead...cause i think he the best suited lol ) . things is even tho Ryus is a flagship fighter character doesnt mean he has to be in anything fighting related to capcom cause there are plenty of other characters that never get their shine and due.  I got Ryu but my version but still Ryu does need a break sometimes and let others have at it.  :thumbsup:

I think that any good character wich is created by capcom can be included in a Capcom game. With that, Capcom can actually make more of it's character become populair really. Ryu is Capcom's character. Same for Megaman. Even Lou from Three Wonders could be a mascot.

A company has to see every of it's character's as his kid. Why? Because those fanboys only want and ask but, flame in return if something they want isn't in. So a company shouldn't actually use the most well known characters only. They should also choose for the right character that could be the right mascot. It doesn't have to be Ryu or Megaman all the time. They keep doing this for money since they believe that more people will buy it, but, that can become a mistake.

Some people say that they are Capcom's fan but, only like Ryu and Megaman out of all. The main question becomes, "what type of fanboy are you if you only like Ryu and Megaman out of all Capcom game titles?"

Fanboys without any perspective are just talkers. They sit and wait for companies to make games for their needs. And a company isn't a company if it just sticks with one character without giving more room for more.

Enough of that really.

Ryu in streetfighter games is definately like toast without butter but i think in the marvel games he's pretty interesting.  I think the designers of UMVC3 felt the same way about his plainness and tried to make him more interesting.  They did make him more interesting but he also felt not much like Ryu anymore in my opinion.  the big three shoto's are gonna be as they were in MVC2

With the roster being as big as it is im hoping people will find atleast 2 characters they really like.

Yes im definately moving to 1.1 

The feature im most excited for in 1.1 is animated parallax for stages.  Parallax is a nice effect but prior to 1.1 you had to add a lot of complicated coding to make it appear animated and you couldnt do much with it.  Also being able to modify a sprite directly through the animation file such as rotation or scaling is pretty nice.  Projectiles having their own pallettes so they dont inherit palfx from the parent is nice too.

RGB sprite support will be great for the vs screen seeing as how the 2nd characters portrait has to be a font.  one thing im not happy about is that the character lifebar portrait is no longer affected by pal fx.  this gives me something else to have to work around.

I'm still hoping that down the line we'll get Netplay integrated into the official mugen engine.

A couple of reasons,

One is that i like CPS2 sprites, I like the look capcom games had in the late 90's.  Another reason is that it's also more convenient to use them because all the marvel effects are designed around those sprites.  For example the images of their hands in the fireballs, the electricity that surges around their body during shinku hadouken, or messatsu gou hadou.

To say the least, I'd say most of the characters should have CPS2 sprites. MvC1 strikers such as Ton Pooh, U.S Agent and Unknown Soldier P1 had sprites in that style... including Jubilee. That brings me this question... in the game are we forced to play the character by their Japanese names? I'm just asking because the characters on the screenshots have their Japanese names like Phobos (Huitzil), Tabasa (Tessa).

The Olympus Sattelite stage where you fight Nemesis is a fusion of ancient greek and cyberpunk.  It's a large garden that was used as a therapeutic environment for more stable enhanced humans.  Protected from space, it has a view of the earth and will be one of the wider variety of stages in the game.

I don't have any concept work of the stages or nemesis yet sorry.


Nice!! About arcade mode, you will code the chars to make a real "Story plot" to looks like this: stage1 = Metro Dream, 2=Valley Bliss, etc..... 10 = Olympus Sattelite? In a perfectly order?

Make a intro showing Medusa/Nemesis in two styles:

- Then will explode to make a imponent power up to show herself

- Or make the screen black-out and fade in, during this time, the 2nd clone explodes and show a spark.

You're using the VSelect tool? I always use that tool, it's nice to make a order of matches =)

- The level 3 Tag super ["S Variable Combination"] should be a "devastation" style BG, like in MvC1.

- Medusa and Nemesis should use unique spark colors[Golden for Medusa and red for Nemesis]

After all things is worked, you're considering the chance of calling some coders to convert that characters to Open Mugen? Will be a nice, soft and clean help.


Also, I hope stages can be released also[Not all, because we can have the good and old versions of Valley of Bliss, Metro Dream, Underworld and Alien Temple :P ]. I love the variation of your training room[Perfectly fusion of CPS2 style and MvC2 style bg]

- Captain Commando can use "Captain Storm" after air[and VERY high air] Captain Fire, also cancelling. In training as you can see, if you cancelling so much, various super pauses appears. I noticed this bug in Splode's version of Captain Commando.

- One of Bulleta's supers causes Hugo in bug pose.

- Irrelevant bug: Ken's taunt speaks: "Shoryuken" :P

these sound like simple cmd,cns oversights.  I can almost see the code in my head.

I believe its "Hyper Apple For You", because I remember in this hyper, Hugo gains fire spark when the last hit happens.

Oh yeah another hugo bug, His super armor state leaves him invincible( He won't take damage) and some multi-hitting move (Like hypers) won't take him out of super armor

I think Nemesis ain't started now, because of Medusa creation.

After Medusa sprite sheet is complete, he and Li-Kun will start to create Nemesis [The only thing he spoiled some pages before, is Nemesis will be "She", like Medusa and should be a hybrid of Technology and enhanced human, like Mech-Gouki, but a original character]

Medusa and Nemesis will be a "relationship", like on Ancient Greek Mythologies. [Medusa lives for protecting Nemesis, in this game. That's why "Erida" name is changed to "Medusa", to fit more.]

Wow it's very humbling to see fanart of Medusa.  I was honestly worried that nobody was going to like her because she was not an existing capcom character.  At first i thought the flyer was a collaboration between you(imperador) and Dizzy.  Then i saw dizzy's response.  It makes me wish i could create a gallery mode with concepts and artwork like that in it.

That brings me to your question Dizzy.  Li-kun and i still have not finalized the design of Nemesis yet.  We're continuously working together on it.  I do believe we'll achieve that final version soon though. 

Imperador is correct in that Medusa is named so because of her guardian role, and that Nemesis is a cyborg.  I'll describe her back story further when her concept sprite is finished.

OH GOD, I forget to ask to you one thing about storyline, Beximus:

Where enters Devilot in those plot?

In very starting of this project, the idea is: "Devilot accidentally destroyed the world systematically"

Devilot awakens Nemesis and Medusa, or another thing was awaken the two bosses?

Devilotte being a short sited and ambitious young lady develops an interest in vintage mechs and military machines.  Wanting to add these to her collection she insists against all common sense that Jigoku Taishi and Dr. Stein create a new machine using a fusion of black magic and technology so that they can travel through time and obtain "authentic mint condition collectors editions of late 20th century technology".  She approaches the Gaia Corporation.  An extremely wealthy company  who's public image is that of pharmaceuticals, but has it's focus in weapons building and bio engineering, and a rival of the Umbrella corporation's in covert markets. 

Disregarding the concerns of her assistants she trades useless late 21st century technology stolen  from Earth Corps for the classic machines. 

The Gaia Corporation immediately begins reverse engineering the technology and build an all purpose laboratory in low orbit, safe from invasion, spies, and international laws. It was named Satellite Olympus. 

Using Earth Corps derived technology they begin human experimentation.  Project Prometheus was to create a new programmable super soldier.  Many people were used and died in the laboratories.  those that survived lost their minds and their memories.  Nemesis was the first successful realization of Project Prometheus.  However her consciousness came back to her and she wisely kept it secret.  although she could not remember who she was, she was fully aware of what she was.  She believed herself to be a monster created by would-be gods, motivated through ambitions, greed, and disregard for life.  Looking at the history of mankind she saw the same atrocities again and again.  She passes judgement on the human race and concludes that the only way to stop the cycle of suffering and destruction is to end civilization.  Destroying everything until there was nothing left, and once her mission was completed she would destroy herself.

Nemesis helps other soldiers regain their consciousness.  Believing in her cause they help her to dispose of the staff and security aboard the satellite and take control.

"Synn, from Dungeons and Dragons, used a Black Magic portal to goes in actual world and accidentally put in same world Zankuro Minazuki and Gouki. The two entities used his ultimate moves [Shun Goku Satsu and Shin Zan-Ken] and the collision launched a lot of dark energy to Zankuro making him have a Satsui No Hadou energy. Synn is hit by energy and she sucked that energy in her body making her evolved into a powerful demon/magic Dragon creature named Chaos. Because of this, the worlds goes in Collapse making various universes collides in same world. Shin Zankuro[My Sub Boss] wants blood and death, now a killing machine. Starting the plot of my history"

I think Beximus will put something like this:

"Devilotte started a cyberpunk inferno in Earth, and heroes will try to save the earth and the villains will use the situation to put a "new order" in world."

Ryu will save the earth because he likes the planet and he wants someone strong to Fight
Ken will saves the earth to protect Eliza and Mel masters.
Chun-Li is send by Interpol to investigate the "Gaia Corporation"
Rolento will uses the situation to make him more respected and realizes his utopia.
Dan will... Yes... Appear hue

This game is not meant to be cannon by any means but rather take into consideration each character's background. 

Many futures exist in the Meta-Universe of capcom.  The event is a convergance point for many possible futures.  Ruby Heart makes contact with Tabasa, another powerful magic user.  Together they cross dimensions and timelines to bring Heroes of all kinds together to stop the immenant destruction of Earth. 

Each character will have their own reasons to heed the call for saving the world. 

For example: Morrigan has a deep fondness for the human world, finding it exciting and the taste of human souls pleasing.

Dan sees this an opportunity to boost the image of Saikyou.  What better reputation is there to have than Saikyou saves the world.


I want to give each character an ending even if it means that it would be mostly text.

Is there a character in particular that you were interested in knowing about?

It was a problem with rose.  I got it fixed.

For the endings, you can use the base from SFZ2 endings. Is most easy and soft to make endings.

The issue is the artwork for the endings.  If i could make the endings like in SFZ2 that would be really nice, but i wouldn't have any new art to go with the text.

The hyper backgrounds are edited Bemani videos.  Each frame was saved as an image file and then modified in Photoshop.

If Talbain will be in the game, you can give him a story that he still may not have found the answer he's been looking for to end this curse he still has, fully unaware B.B. Hood is around since she's in the game too and she has a grudge against wolves, and he thinks Rose may have an answer for him. Maybe he's still have the curse because he's still the same when he faced Ryu in Ryu's CFE ending.

When i started this project it was geared more towards MVC1 than MVC2.  However since then ive been shifting more towards an MVC2/TvC with MVC1 controls.  Honestly the way the tagging in works is from way back when i first figured out how to do it.  It's too easy to tag a partner in as it is.  you can safely tag in off a confirmed standing Hard Attack.  I've been thinking about changing it. 

And wow, you seem so swamped with suggestion. I feel kind of bad for posting my own one. But good luck on this game. I really feel this MUGEN could be something really special overall. Can't wait until the next demo.

Please don't hesitate to make suggestions.  I welcome all suggestions.  Sometimes very good ones are made that really make me stop and think about how to incorporate it or if it can improve the game over all.

I think the ones missing are Final War, Paradise Dome, Dimensional Tide[Alien Temple with new updates, i think] and Lethean Stream.

If I can suggest ones, here some ideas[Some SVC are only names, but it's just ideas xD]:

Gouki + Jedah = "Makai Gou Satsu": Gouki uses his Shun-Goku-Satsu and Jedah uses his Finale=Rosso. Jedah watches inside his blood ocean and some images of Gouki appears randomly, attacking his opponent.

Ingrid+Rose = "Soul Fortuna"[Reference to the music "O Fortuna"]: Rose use her Soul Thrust and in final animation, Ingrid uses her Sun Stream level 3

Zangief + Hugo = "NUCLEAR ATOMIC BUSTER": The same idea from the classic crossovers but with a giant explosion

Makai Sakura + Gouki = "Shin Shun Goku Satsu": Then uses his level 3 hypers and if grabbed, the ''luckly" enemy will gain 40 hits of pure "Hell" and after the hyper, his body will burn.

Rolento + Ibuki = "Patriot Ninja": A comic one. Ibuki will jumps to Rolento's head[Like in her and him intro in SFxTK] and jumps launching her kunai hyper, and for finish one, Rolento will send a little grenade[Same animation from his taunt.. Yeah, will be useful :P] and will cause a massive explosion.

Those are examples of S-Variable Combinations yes.

Final Symphony for karin and sakura is being removed since it's a move that belongs to kyosuke, who is no longer in this game.  Batsu is the new representative for Taiyo High School and he'll have a level 3 super that more accurately depicts the real final symphony with hinata(courtesy of li kun) and kyosuke appearing for it.

Karin and sakura will get a different team up together.

Ruby Heart and Tabasa have an SVcombo tentatively named Flamme de Nergal


S Variable combos will probably be the last things worked on since i would have to pair them based on the final roster. 

Every character will be able to do an S Variable combination with atleast one other character.  The pairings are based first on character history,if theres no previous interaction, character similarities, shared traits, or alignments will determine the pairings.

I won't be making videos or previews of the S variable combinations as i'd like the combinations to be something a person can explore and maybe be surprised with.

No chun li's kikoushou blast is so recognizable i wouldn't use it on any character.  Instead im using a place holder effect which is an enlarged yoroitoshi blast field.

if you're talking about the ultra where she throws a hundred kunai at the opponent, im afraid she wont have that as a level 3.

You said in this game, will appear stages who don't interfere in the Game Story[Alternate versions]

If there are buildings in the background, you can put some cameos from Capcom franchises. In one building you can put a poster of Asura's Wrath and in other you can put a classic flyer of SSF2


[Like I did with the old version Metro Dream, who I give a evolution to this stage, called "Night On E3", where various game chars appears in the three floors and various cameos from game franchises appears. The elevator inside is blue with a Sega logo, a Sonic The Hedgehog flyer on floor and a mini television with the Sonic, Tails and Knuckles faces XD]

A another sugestion, in this time, about the intro before the Erida/Nemesis fight,


You probably will use the shutters in the versus screen, I'm right?

after the shutters close the vs screen, only in the stage 9 and 10, in the start of final fights you can use a "Television interference" and make the shutters goes "negative" in a little moment for Medusa.

And make the shutters red with some technologic letters[like in Digimon séries].

I think this will be a nice start before the boss dialogue and the fight itself :D

oh no im afraid the soundtrack isn't finalized yet.  I have to see how the stages turnout before i pick a background song for it.

Can you send me a message regarding the front end software?  I'm wondering what program you're referring to for creating it.

Nope. Its like Arika did with Street Fighter EX, they used the franchise and original characters, and added their own characters. Capcom did the same with D&D, using original monsters and RPG elements, but adding their own characters, they did this to AvP too, adding Kurosawa and Schaefer to the game which already had the aliens and predators.

Even if they made the characters, they only belong to them for the duration of their license.

as far as i know, Li Kun is spriting Nina (the Wyndian Princess) for this project.

There is a Fou-Lu (I think that is his name) character made.

Actually not, they can use them as much as they want, didn't Capcom make a D&D HD Collection last year? The characters just don't appear again because they were not popular enough, and if they were once, they don't have the franchises that sustain them, they could only appear in crossovers.

No, they didn't.
In fact, when D&D was released for the SNES, not only did they had to rename the game, but also replace their D&D characters with more generic versions.

That's because they REGAINED the rights. The SNES version of Shadow over Mystara had all the Dungeons&Dragons references removed. Hell, even the character have been replaced in the SNES version with more generic versions.

About Cody, you're planning to put the 3 levels of Criminal Upper with the same Giga Tornado? I think this should be nice if the LP version looks like the normal SFZ3, the MP gains a medium size and the HP gains the big size.

About other thing: You're planning to put the Shutters on Versus Screen like you did on this video? This should be a nice transition, than the normal one I see on demos xD

About her story... If she will be playable in the game... About her ending. Why you don't put the name Erida as the "REAL NAME" of her. And she only discovers this during the end. Not bad, though Medusa doesn't feel sadness.  She also lacks the ability to cry, she no longer has her own eyes.

The mask that she wears was inspired by the Predators, and is put there to keep her from clawing at her own face attempting to remove her own cybernetic eyes.

Medusa is a tragic character.  Originally i called her Erida after the goddess of hate, but as i began to flesh out her back story i realized she was more like Medusa.  Victimized and twisted, a once beautiful creature made horrifying, Her mind shattered by torturous experimentation.  It seemed a lot more fitting.

No Medusa is not a tank character.  She won't have any super or hyper armor.  That would make her very cheap considering how quickly she can move.

Will be 10 story stages and 8 alternate ones who will be playable on VS and Training Mode[The Story ones: "Paradise Dome, Metro Dream, Valley of Bliss, Exodus Train, Forgotten Sanctuary, Lethean Stream, Dimension Tide[A updated version of "Alien Temple" public stage], Final War, Erebos Shuttle[Sub-Boss Medusa] and Olympus Satellite[Final Boss NEMESIS[Not the RE3 creature, but a female cyborg goddess]]"

I don't know how the Alternate Stages will be, but I know will be a alternate OST with CPS2 style, by Wizzy

No there won't be any reference stages such as in MVC3 or MVC1.  I didn't want to give any particular franchise special preference.  It also helps me build stages to reflect the story.

there will be 18 total stages

10 for arcade mode,  8 more that will have nothing to do with the story.

I'm hoping to include plenty of character cameo's in the stages.

Mmm i must have must a post about the stages. But thx and will remember this. Btw the music for the full game is totally amazing. Also i will look forward on this Nemesis cyborg and not the RE3 monster that we all know.

No i'm the only person coding the game.  The biggest contributors to my project have been li-kun, Gladiacloud and Felo Llop.  These 3 are working with me to bring new characters into the game.  Something that i know i couldn't do without them.

There are Codys (Codies?) that use code to make the Alpha sprites look more CvS-ish, thus, there are sprites that still need to be edited.

Point being, anyone who wants to make a CvS, SFA or BoR street clothes Cody will have the sprites to do it.

Alright, what i mean by a third party character is like char that is not from Capcom, but it was developed by Capcom. Games like Ducktales, Jojo, Little Nemo, Legend of Zelda and so on. Characters like Scrooge, Jotaro, Nemo or Link can be one of these third party character.

It's hard to say.  I'm aiming for no later than May.  Devilotte was the biggest obstacle for demo 3.  She required an enormous amount of custom special effects some rendered in 3D programs.  I really believe the other characters will take less time than she did.  I also have to update all stages again to accommodate baroque and variable air raids which require taller stages as well as create 4 new ones.  My focus right now though is newly drawn characters.  Viper, Batsu, Zero etc.

The character im currently finishing up right now is Tiffany.  Cody is nearly finished as well.  I'll be doing my best to get these all finished quickly but correctly.

You now have over 35 people at my universtiy that are eagerly waiting for the next demo. Keep up the great work!  :thumbsup:

Actually i removed the single character arcade and versus modes from the game and renamed the team arcade and team versus as the standard ones.

oi beximus, i showed the 2.5 to my class in my university, and they were CONVINCED it was a full-fledged capcom game. Yeah, you're that good. That's great!  That's actually why i'm hoping to release something in june.  I want there to be something to play over the summer lol.

Since i started making this project i've wanted it to be something that would make people forget they were playing a mugen creation.  something solid that felt like an official capcom product.  So to hear that they thought they were playing something official is awesome.

Saki will definitely be in the final game.  I havent spoken about her because she's still without sprites but im certain she'll be in the final product.  I have a list in mind of characters that must be in the game and she's one of them.

I suggest to you make a new video of the winners of pool + the confirmed characters like batsu and c.viper and at least 2 of the new stages[we actually already see the new training room] when the demo 3 are closer to ready[like you did with tiffany and Devilotte].

EDIT: The two main bosses will uses hyper portrait or then will don't use like the bosses from vs games?

Ryu was voted into Demo 3 you'll be seeing him in that.  I'm using his MVC sprites for it but with the XVSF hadouken effects.

Also, do you have plans to put the brown color gloves for the two main Shotos?

Ryu and ken will be using their alpha era voices.  the only thing that will be changing is ken's hair style.

well it involves photoshop for sure.

 a lot of transparent effects are bright in the center and darker on the edge and have lots of colors to blend into the darkness.  first thing i do is crank the brightness and contrast up to get more definition out of the effect.  then i eliminate the edges until im satisfied with what's left.

Chun-Li with CVS2 sprites on a VS Game it's a thing I never expected to see. And that sprites fitted very well with her gameplay. You did a awesome job with her.

I don't know if you're accepting suggestions for the creation of the new stages, if yes, why you don't create a survival special stage[As a Alternate/Non-Story Stage]?

ahhhh it's as simple as that? i was overthinking it and thinking "maybe it's because multiple realities and different timelines cross together due to nemesis' threat" but it's just simple as that huh xD

lol yes im afraid it's as simple as that.  Nemesis and Medusa's voices will be taken from as obscure sources as i can possibly find while capturing the tone im going for.  Kind of like what i did when i was working with Gladiacloud on finding resources for Michelle Heart and Pure.

I don't think it would be possible to create a survival stage like the one in pocket fighter.  if i remember correctly with each fight it moved further down the stage in segments.

Yeah, in Pocket Fighter happens this. But I'm talking of a special stage who all characters is watching the fights. Without breaking floors and parallax. Just simples stages made for fun, to distract from the "stress/serious business" of Story mode.

 [A example of non-story stages who can fit with the game]:

Something like... Huh.... Inside the Saikyo-Ryuu Dojo for example. Nothing much special, and without much resources. just to reunite the cast for a comic reliefs.

Other idea of a alternate stage is inside on one of the levels from Metro Dream. With the elevator on background with some mini sparks[symbolizing the fights happening in "Story Mode"].

And for the end, a other idea, is inside of the ruins of Metro Street, AFTER the war between Gaia and Earth Forces. [Like the ruins station on Exodus Train].

Yeah, for alternate stages, with some cameos and fun factors, can be nice.

will you ever majorly update the game after its done? not like just some simple patches, but similar to MVC3 had UMVC3? where they included characters who were initially cut from the vanilla version but made it in after the team had time for DLC. will you be doing anything like that? because again, you probably had to cut some fighters right? it would be wise to include them as an after-thought after the fullgame is completed, so you don't lose any time developing the main game.

Yes i have considered doing something like that.  Say someone decided to draw Fokker from powerstone.  I would definitely want to include him in the game.  So i would be making an update later on to include characters that werent able to get in before.

I know it's very, VERY EARLY to suggest about the new fullgame but..

..For SNK side, I just hope to see more Samurai Spirits representatives[ ESPECIALLY Charlotte, Galford, Amakusa and Zankuro] and Metal Slug.

I hope also to see Sagat, Gallon and some other obscure chars in this new crossover, then deserves this treatment.

If CvS:Max is going to be a VS Style like C.Universe, I believe we will see a true crossover and not a "KOF Vs SF" like CVS2 XD

what if the animations were already captured?  I have a bank of character screen caps if you want to take a look at it.  If theres a particular character you're interested that i don't have i can make screencaps of them as well.

thats because she uses her spritesheet from CVS2 which has more detailed and advanced sprites. no this will not be addressed as beximus stated her liked Chun Li with this look and will keep Ryu and Ken in their MVC looks, with Ken having his hair cut.

lol no you were right, i don't intend to change chun li.  What i mean was that i think it won't be a problem if i leave her that way because i have CPS3 sprites CVSNK sprites CPS2 sprites.   I also used CVSNK2 chun li rather than SF3 chun li because it was easier to modify SVC chun li sprites to match them.

I'm in the process of revamping his current sprites I have finished to make him look A LOT better. Ask Bex, he knows whats up :) I'm just recovering from a flu so I haven't been able to sprite in a few days.

and also bex I just noticed since cvs sprite characters in general use a different resolution compared to most other capcom fighting games (sfa, mvc, sf3, jojo, darkstalkers, etc). this gives them a disadvantage because their reach is comparatively less, because his sprites aren't as wide. i would suggest resizing the cvs characters to CPS2/CPS3 ratio to makeup for it. Durcelleuar did it with his kyosuke and it actually doesn't look bad at all, in fact it looks a bit better in my opinion.

I just tried it out on tiffany, ingrid, and chun li. 

It didnt look so bad.  I may end up doing this for characters that have a 4:3 ratio.

in the era prior to mugen 1.0 altering the ratio of a character would result in extremely ugly deformations.  which is why i was always against it.  Scaling seems to be handled a lot better now in mugen.

Ingrid benefited the most from it.

Will be nice if you put at least some shots from the new fighters with the lifebar portrait fixed[like Ibuki and some new chars like Devilotte], the select screen and the VS Screen[and after are completed, the new stages].

Also, I don't know if you will make this happen but will be nice if you put the "No Mercy" feature. Pressing start after the KO and continuing to hit the enemy even after the ko.

Since you are going to put a custom VS screen ''on-fight'', you can morph the default VS screen to a Ladder Screen[Stage 1, Stage 2, etcetera]

the no-mercy feature would be very buggy.
i think the portrait will darken when the character has been ko'ed.
he probably won't do the ladder thing.
and finally, he'll update the screenshots once he has progressed far enough.

Do you considering put a special effects shared with stages, alongside with the breakable floors on Forgotten Sanctuary?

I mean, like on Marvel Super Heroes VS SF, when the floor are water, and the character is dashing, you are planning to put a water reaction on floor? Since the only water based stage I know I will see on game is Lethean Stream[I don't know about Paradise Dome, If will be a Shopping or a Beach based, so...].

Another question is... The damage of Hugo's "Megaton Press" is really so big, like I see on demo? Is pratically the same damage from a level 3 hyper combo [and I suggest to put the Level 3 hyper names on chars movelist like: "Patriot Sweeper" for Rolento, "W Impact" for Yang LVL3 and some others who are missing one level 3 commands on movelist]

Yes i'm considering more stage specific special effects.  Aside from the crashing against the floor.  Lethean stream will be on a boat so it will require splash effects.  Paradise dome will be on sand.

Hugo does a lot of damage and is very dangerous for weaker characters like strider and ingrid.  He's very big and slow with a lot of recovery time on moves.  His Damage may seem extreme but he needs it.

I can make a longer edit of it but i'd still want to leave out the vocals.  I originally made the loop kind of short like most arcade games did.  Sometimes people will chill at the select screen though so it might not hurt to make a longer edit.

Pure will stay mostly the same.  I haven't spent too much time on her yet.  after the first half of demo 3 is ready i'll be able to focus on what changes if necessary can or should be made.

Regarding Q.  He already has super armor and high defense, However the taunt will be made into super that gives him Ultra armor for a limited time.

i've taken some liberties with Q and will make a video of the upcoming characters once the demo is ready for testing.

Pure will stay mostly the same.  I haven't spent too much time on her yet.  after the first half of demo 3 is ready i'll be able to focus on what changes if necessary can or should be made.

Regarding Q.  He already has super armor and high defense, However the taunt will be made into super that gives him Ultra armor for a limited time.

i've taken some liberties with Q and will make a video of the upcoming characters once the demo is ready for testing.

Beximus, a little suggestion you can use on the final game[so, this will be very useful on future]


It's a minus detail but ...

All characters who will use Hyper Afterimages[both LVL1, TAG or LVL3 hyper combos] during the supers should end abruptly before the hyper combo ends.

Explaining better, your "Hiyakeshita" Sakura mode when uses Shun-Goku-Satsu the afterimages dissappears alongside with the hyper combo bg.

Based on the public version of Sakura codes. I applied this method on my edit chars, so, this give a CPS2 styled effect on afterimages.

I'm coming with a question/suggestion, but it's about the roster and the game Storyline.

About the roster, are you planning to put an another original character after Medusa and Nemesis? An "main hero" or "heroine" for the game[since we got two godlike damsels as bosses, why not a rebel girl as a hero, like the Ryuuko Matoi concept from Kill la Kill animation :P], like the Shadow Agent Rebellions from the MvC1 storywise?

And about Storyline, I don't know if you are considering the events from MvC1/MSHvSF , but if yes at parts, here something that could be very useful for NASH and his "connection" with Gaia and Nemesis[About his comeback on SF5, like a homage. Even if we know the "Story" of Capcom Chars are irrelevant on Crossovers a cameo about SF5 and "Shadow" will be very nice]

Well, this can be a nice tie between your actual project and the Capcom VS SNK: Max future project. SNK has a LOT of cybernetic elements, especially on KOF and Metal Slug series. So, this is a suggestion I hope something from this can helps you on future, since I like to make storylines on Crossovers, and your game storyline is very awesome, I hope this can be useful on future :)

The only original characters in the game will be Medusa and Nemesis.  No one else.  I decided upon 2 original characters for the game because i didnt want to limit the story too much by having it revolve around a character with prescribed motives and characteristics.  I also didnt want to give any franchise special treatment by making one of it's characters a boss.

The progress is being delayed because im attending summer classes right now.  it wasn't something i planned on but it was something i had to do.  So i apologize for that

Answers: 1. Fiona will be in, though at the current moment, she's not in the demo 3.0 yet until the final demo. Dante will not be in the game unless Beximus says otherwise.
2. Zero will already have his own sprite made by RamzaNeko.
3. Beximus will not put guest characters. He said it before, actually.
4. It's unknown at this time.

We aren't have plans to sprite a character who actually EXIST[Yeah, she will not a public character also until the game was finished and I don't think someone will try to make a decent version with the Mazemerald one]

Here's my theory. If you use Mazemerald's Devilotte, then edit those unnecessary attack sprites and put some original sprites and moves. Then a original Devilotte is done. Not the same as Beximus, but still original.

I'm not sure what answer Beximus will give to you[and i'm not a part of team XD], but the command of the "Duo Team Attack" [D,DB,B + HP+HK] is already used for a secret double super feature who will appears on the final game[Special Variable Combination] I'm right, Bex?

Will be nice to see the Duo Team attack on mugen, but with this feature I believe Beximus will not put this super attack because of the actual gameplay features [Delayed Hyper Combo, S-Variable Combination] and Duo Team Attack are a bit useless when the actual game has that lot of tag features.

2. I have enough TvC zero sprites to complete him.  I will fill in what is missing myself through sprite modification.

4.I do intend to make an intro sequence.  It will be like a capcom arcade intro. unless i can hire an animator who'd be interested in making a 1 minute sequence.

Interesting..  I have some ideas for a intro who mix a bit of Vampire Savior and Marvel VS. Capcom, if you want.

Duo team attack won't be included, it would be a huge pain in the butt to recode all the characters for that feature and im not a fan of it.

that's hard to discern.  I don't plan on any more changes to the core engine, which was one of the biggest time eaters.  Baroque, Red Life, Assist Types, Training Mode, and all other core mechanics to the game are implemented and working.  I believe that to be 60 percent of the work.

I have Mostly characters and stages to focus on right now.  There is also the need for sprites for desired characters.  Once Medusa and Nemesis are completed i will consider the game to have all necessary resources to be finished.  Other characters that i would like to have in the game can be added later on as their sprites are finished.

I roughly estimate the game at being 70 percent finished.

Paradise Dome:

Since you said the floor of this stage will be on sand, you can use the Anakaris' stage from Vampire Savior floor as basis. But the background should be like on X-Men COTA's Iceman stage with the ocean on bg and the sun shining. For the alternate you can put a orange sky and less people and use the "Campfire" from X-Men VS SF. I don't know if you will put the same song for both stages, but If you plan to put a different song for Alternates, I recomend to put a more slow paced song [like luah song or something like]

Final War:

Man, this stage will makes Rolento happy :P
This is because you will like to put in the second level of the stage the tanks from Rolento's SFZ3 stage and the soldiers running desperatly. The background can be based on the same Rolento's stage from the same SFZ3 but with some ruins because of the attacks.

The first level should be on top, and the bg should be the Cyberbots "city stage" but with the holocaust from the Gaia war[some robots floating and attacking the street, and some mini tanks countering with bombs. This can be possible if you use the effects from the Cyberbots "space war" stage].

-ALTERNATE: TOP/First level: The ruins of the city in night
Second level/Ground: Some medicans caring for the survivants [yeah, it's a strange reference to the horrible SF Van Damme Movie, but considering the alternate stages will be like a "After the holocaust" thematic, I think this scenario will fits]

- Olympus Satellite:

Well, a Techno-Greek based stage with Earth on bg. Let's see what resources can fit with then:

It's a bit strange, but there are a nice pillars who you can use the "Chaos Angel" pillars from Sonic Advance 3 and modify then to fit with stage.

Look:

The floor can be based on this also:

The bg in front of Earth Exosphere can be based on Avalon's first level from X-Men cota.

ALTERNATE: "Olympus Future": A bit "sad/clever" ambient. The same structure for the original stage but in ruins and lowered a little from exosphere and orbiting from the blue sky [something similar to the Babylon Garden from Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity]. The song of this stage should be a piano based song showing a peaceful finale for that story.

I'm calling it Capcom vs SNK MAX.  It will have a Naomi look to it rather than the CPS style ive been going with in Capcom Universe.

I don't have all the details settled on it yet.  But im still deciding the roster, and if it will be tag team or turns and whether there will be grooves or not.

Hey guys, my friend and I were going to update Gunloc from Saturday Night Slam Masters to CvS2 style as well as make him a 6-button character. He will mostly have command grabs like he should and his specials were going to be Marvel vs Capcom style. Would it be possible that if he meets standards he can be apart of your project? We also have future plans to make an Asura from Asura's Wrath and Gene from God Hand.

That has already been implemented actually.  If you listen closely while watching the stream you may here the announcer say Variable Air Raid.  Baroque etc

I don't really think i would put shadow in the game considering that it would take a lot of work just on a conceptual level.  I don't foresee anyone making shadow a full featured fighter.

Well, Medusa is at a point where she can be a training room punching bag.  I plan to make a video showing her in motion after the release of Demo 3 part 1.

Li-Kun has done an excellent job of bringing out her violent persona.  I really think people are going to like her animations.

Well, Medusa is at a point where she can be a training room punching bag.  I plan to make a video showing her in motion after the release of Demo 3 part 1.

Li-Kun has done an excellent job of bringing out her violent persona.  I really think people are going to like her animations.

I hope to see her soon!

She is, without doubt, the best character of the game in design terms :)

No there won't be.  I don't want to give any character in the game a boss status.  however the last characters you fight will usually be the same ones.  I've arranged the characters in order groups. 

I was experimenting with having stages appear in the correct order by using characters.  So the characters you fight will almost always be on the same stages.

Really enjoyed the demo and was told demo 3 would be coming soon in the future.

Maybe one day if the game ever gets round to doing a demo 4 or something you could add a hybrid character Like for example I made a Vampire Rose , Turned into a vampire by Demitri from Darkstalkers.

Amazing game feels very professional when i play it.
Any chances that one day in the future you could add these characters .....

Regina - Dino Crisis

Ryu - Breath of Fire 4 - Your Nina Breath of Fire 4 characters looks beautiful she was always my fave in bof4.
 
Demitri - Darkstalkers

Q-bee - Darkstalkers

Kaijin No Soki - Onimusha

Alyssa - Clock Tower 3 - uses her magic bow and arrow for combat.

They are characters Id like to see one day , but even if none of them ever made into the game I'm already very happy with the roster.

Can't wait for the next update hope it goes well.

Im glad you enjoy the game.  I think you'll find that Demo 3 will feel a lot more authentic than Demo 2.5 did.  It also will have a lot of enhancements to it.

The concept of rose as a vampire isn't that hard to imagine.  it's an interesting design. 

To answer your question regarding characters

Regina - probably won't happen

Ryu - Breath of Fire 4 no.  Nina would only be possible if someone were to draw her.  the one you saw was probably Li-kun's work.
 
Demitri - no

Q-bee - yes

Kaijin No Soki - i wish, but nobody's been drawing him.

Alyssa - Clock Tower 3 - no, Nobody has ever made an Alyssa sprite as far as i know.   Li-kun is letting me use Fiona from haunting ground which is essentially clock tower 4

You won't have to wait long for the next update.  I am down to less than 10 issues to resolve with the game.

Traweezie created a discussion channel where i can easily keep people updated on minor news such as how many bugs are left, changes to the characters, or just talk about anything in general.

Phoenix Wright - no,  don't care much for him,  and i really dislike how they handled him as a fighter in UMVC3.
Arthur - Yes
Dante - I would love to have dante in the game.  Hopefully someday he will be sprited.
Sylphie - I like sylphie's look but i don't really like characters that dress up as other characters to attack.  it feels  like they aren't a character of their own.

None,  it's not really necessary.  That hyper can be handled the same way as Felicia's "Please help me"

I know it's just a demo. But, I'm curious about some things.
I've been following your Mugen since last year.
So I do not know, if those questions have already been asked. If they were, I'm sorry.

 :6 Tabasa has some moves in his game that he does not have in C.U

For Urien in 2.5 did not have "Dangerous Headbutt" and 3.0 got it.

Can I ask that you reallocate the taunt button to start and the assist to lp + lk? It gets very disorienting trying to use assist on a button that mugen usually reserves for taunts and sometimes I forget to do an assist because of that.
