PSD is a work file, that's why. When you're done, instead of saving as PSD, save as PNG. I'll upload screenshots tomorrow to show you, unless someone explains better.There's no way to convert PSD except through Photoshop.
Ok so what you do is: GO back into your Photoshop, then open your PSD file, then go to save as or save for web then its should save as a jpeg.
