Nah Bay is sticking with the origin in that area of them being mutants i last read...the initials T.C.R.I (shown in the trailer on the ooze canister) ARE the aliens that made the mutagen fronting as humans. Aliens that crash landed on earth. That stuff was supposed to help them get back er something but the situation spun out of control. in the 2003 comic series thats how the TMNT changed. from that stuff. the earlier years it was through toxic waste and other variations of the origin of the ooze. I saw it was more than one way things went down in those comics vs the cartoon n stuff

While I'll commend them for trying to be unique with the turtles' looks and all, I wish they'd stay a little more truer to the comic books. Looks like the Foot is a mercenary group totting guns and stuff, while the turtles are huge. Trailer's also too melodramatic for my liking. Apart from that, the movie looks like it could be fun and worth watching.

Keeping my fingers crossed, probably with go watch this with friends. Gonna keep an open mind and watch it for what it is more, and compare to the comics and cartoons as little as possible UNTIL the movie is actually over.

thats all we can really do as old fans of the series. have an open mind. It erks me to see they changed some crap around but i just really hope those fight scenes are AT LEAST entertaining with some laughs.

Other than the trailer feeling like a transformers movie I have no real problems with what I've seen but my goodness they are huge, like how are they going to get out of the man hole cover huge, like how does the foot clan or shredder even stack up to them huge. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

yo just saw another tmnt trailer it looks cool im giving it a chance once it hit theaters but theres one small detail question that got me piss off there

Not a fan of the Turtle's faces. They do look like Shrek, Don's face there looks like hipster Jar Jar Binks, oh no! , but I feel it's something that people will just have to get used to. What is more of a concern IMO is they are so big, do any of the humans have a chance fighting the turtles? Will we get to see the turtles do martial arts or will they just slam into everything and destroy it?

What I find most intriguing is to see where most of the fan base lies, to the 80's cartoon or the early comics. I feel this movie will be a combination of the two. I bet it's going to have a lot of the cartoon references (pizza, skateboards, etc.), but have a slightly, only slightly, darker tone. Mostly with the violence being PG-13 level.

However you feel about the Transformers movies, I think TMNT having a similar tone and feel actually is a good fit! As long as the movie is fun and has some good martial arts scenes, then I feel it's done it's job. I mean, this is a live action movie about giant turtles and a rat who know ninjitsu, after all.

That is what I've been saying I mean what is the use of them knowing how to fight when they can just rage out like Hulk and small everything into dust, maybe there will be something there size that they can fight.

Other than that I still have no problem with what I've seen cause the trailers aren't really showing anything new other than a close up of them and they added splinter from the other preview.

True, I agree. Nothing in the trailers I've seen have been bad. We're just seeing a glimpse of the vision they have for the movie. Stuff like this you kind of have to wait till we see much longer trailers or actually see the movie to judge it properly.
